  1. Were they? I thought only the remake was on London, the original was reissued on a cream coloured label called (?) Klik.
  2. Good to see you post on here Mark - with Snooky and Mick B on here that's nearly the car full ...just so sad that Sue is no longer with us...
  3. Big Torch tune in '73, in fact I never heard "I've been cheated" played at that time as far as I can remember, but being heavily into those Torch instrumentals I may have missed it... ...booted on OOTP white series and later as a VIP lookylikey...
  4. Having seen quite a few of them....all I can say is go the whole hog son!
  5. I'd say doubtful Roger, as they were both done for our scene - has anyone ever found a grey copy in the US?

They're three short stories all loosely based around the Casino, first was called "Ten Miles High", about a schoolkid discovering NS through said single, ended with him getting through the doors for the first time, quite fun. Todays is called "What shall I do", about a cloakroom girl at t'Casino, tomorrows is called "Three before eight" about a FICTIONAL DJ sorting his box of tunes for a Casino spot!
  7. There's also a very early boot, certainly around by the late 60's, a deep red colour, no label name...
  8. IIRC Barnaby Bye was in that red and white/blue format as well?
  9. Joan Moody! How do I claim my prize?
  10. OH yes, I remember those steps...here's the original way up...
  11. Could well be, just dredged that useless info from somewhere in my brain!
  12. Got played quite a lot as a new release, IIRC he was Marvin Gaye's cousin...
  13. You know when the cogs suddenly slip into place...just remembered that birthday party of yours - even tell you what the latest pressing was at the time, Arctic Strings "Turnin' me on"...sad man...
  14. My Astors demo was appropriated at the New Year and is now safely tucked up in Tokyo, taken me until last weekend to find a nice minty West Coast issue after several dealers sucked their cheeks and said "tougher than you think mate":hatsoff2: ...good luck with your search.
  15. Thanks Pete for confirming what I thought - didn't have the info to hand to back it up with!

Think the last Miller Sisters I saw was about 35 pounds (?)...lovely looking label!

Had this on a CDR for a couple of years but can't find any info on it, apart from reference to a Levine remake. Can some kind soul give me any details on the original please?
  18. Roger, I seem to remember that when this was last discussed years ago the general consensus was no, but I stand to be corrected
  19. AFAIK it's the same...
  20. Yup, Clarkie's David Huff cover-up, think he had the Pacemaker local issue, and then Gilly sold me a Scepter copy
  21. Take it you mean Roy Hyett? If so, there's a right trio for ya!
  22. Fascinating - confirms Pete S's post (not that I'd doubt him anyway ) - so the story continues!
  23. Your memory's spot-on, definitely saw them at Whitchurch..
  24. ...one from me...
  25. Agreed on that Whitchurch one Steve, on the Major's coach from Glos, and we all pushed off to the pub when the bomb scare happened...and yes, it was the Queen's Hotel in Chelt, think Pete French put that one on, deffo remember buying a Cindy Scott "I love you baby" Veep demo that day!
