  5. Pmd you Regards Steve
  6. The Irma Routen has risen its ugly head again this time for just under $1k. You said I was talking Bollocks but you only selected part of my statement- How do I know Chinatown by The Move was probably the rarest number on the label. Wheres my evidence? Its an indemand record by Most 70s rock collectors. I sold my copy to a shop here in the UK. Availiabilty X demand does not = value it only equals "point price" Value of an item is historical empirical evidence backed up by provenance! Out of Irma Routen & The Move, The Move is the only one with provenance! ASK Roy Wood!
  7. WEll Ive had the mispress before but in low condition & sold it to a local DJ here ! Sold it to him at the right price(£60?) given condition it being VG at best. However had the tune running through my head again and I did a search and blow me a Belgian dealer not only had one for 15 euros BIN in Ex cond he even had the soundfile for both sides stating the soundfiles was directly lifted from the record. ITs arrived and I am chuffed! PS I only thought the mispress is on the demo copies not the issues!

  10. Another example of the absolute ridiculous £30 record - Not rare but obviously now popular again Has Butch played it in his set? As that seems to be the reason for most things going daft in price!
  11. In the 70s I had a heavy vynil demo which was passed off as a bootleg. It should still be in circulalation somewhere!
  12. Im sorry but value and what someone is prepared to pay are totally different. The value of a record is the mean average price of sales over a particular period or where only one sale is recorded ten that would be the value. The price someone would be prepared to pay is infinite as we often see when 2 crazies get into a bidding war!
  13. their was a guy about 2 or 3 years ago selling a box load of original Styrene copies on ebay.com for $20 a pop
  14. Theres bound to be a few more in record station archives but where is the question?
  15. SOLD SOLD SOLD - Phew that was quick!
  16. Pic & Bill - Soul Music LP - Italian Joker records in VG++ cond £30 + P&P Includes the European LP only track "Come back baby".Baby come back! ( Not on the US copies.) Also has the classic track "Talk about love".
  17. Their are loads of cheap items far more difficult to find than overplayed oldies or the new hotbox exclusive!. These cheap records though become instant 100 quiders when someone states Butch played it last week or seen it for £100 on Xs site! Its all bullshit based on very little empirical evidence if any at all. Unless you absolutely know how many were pressed and how it was distributed then what actually is rare? How do you define rare? Whose definition has more credibility? Its all sheer speculation propped up by wild speculative statements and other dubious information. Im glad someone is asking the question! heres an example of one that seems to be difficult to pick up but its not in demand so nobody evaluates if its rare or not! Karon Rondell - Ive been down on Columbia! Its not the greatest dancer in the world but Ive heard worse!
  18. I don't think its an axe to grind I think its You Tube having a cull. Ive tried to play loads of Non-soul stuff that's got less than 1000 views /very niche and these have been culled. really strange in some cases where one of the tracks of an album hasn't been touched but the rest have been culled with the usual message as above!
  19. Yes Mick - 2 acetates cut for the Destiny release(Withdrawn) that also was supposed to have the Fenways on the other side. I had one of the original 2(Think I bought it from Phil T) but I don't know who had the other. I sold it about 3 years ago on here for about the same as I paid for it £300-£350 or thereabouts. Technically yours is a Boot or carver and worth very little! Yours has obviously been cut from an MP3 or Cd.
