Yep recon your right there... I dont think the prices reflects right on these two does it, maybe thats because of the way allot of people found out about the track in the first place, off that bloody SS LP! all the same the Yellow emblem release comes up for sale reasonably often, and is worth what £250-300 for a very minty one, of which there are not many mint ones about, they always seem to be crap condition. Much rather have the 'Charms' release personally, but you never see it... :-))

well if you offered it me today I would shell out allot more for it. It's one of those tracks, its not trendy in the 'Funky' sense but I'd imagine it would go for allot, Ive not got it, nor seen it for sale in years... so thats two of us after it...:-)) Mal

Anybody else seen Lots of WBOB recording Library 45's coming up for sale recently? Tim Browns auction had one, and Ive seen a few via different sellers on E bay, anybody know anything about the source of these 45's?

Ive read, that The Impressions & Jerry Butler - For Your Precious Love, is believed to be one of the first records termed as 'Soul', I think thats Dave Godin who wrote that... see its released in 58, so a little after some of the dates mentioned above, maybe the term was used in conversation allot earlier, but as a marketable release, perhaps the Impressions was just that? there are far more knowledgeable folk on here of course, so I'm happy to be educated... I picked up the 'Northern Scene' bootleg in Canada recently, looked lovely... such a great song I nearly kept it... Remember I heard this loads on a trip across the USA some years back, and on my Birthday in Miami we went cloth shopping, Liza got loads, I got buggar all, but when we eventually stopped for a coffee at Starbucks I sat down and on it came... one of the best Birthday memories that! here's my Aussie copy..
