Sellers - Get A F*cking Grip
It has got silly, and I have too agree I really tire of seeing the same listed at inflated prices every other day. What can you do though... Upto the MODS to take a view on this. Malcolm

So Out Of Tune You Can't Get Past It
Think the flip of the Corondas on Bright a Star is a real killer though, either this or another 45 by them on the label.. Might upset some folk but Love stormy weather is another that's all over the place especially the horn blowing... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wgtKAFDEfuI Mal Totally forgot Ted Wilson, both sides... Guys a pub singer... Dreadful record and why folk pay so much for it is beyond me...

Lada Edmund - Larue Backing Singers
On the subject of backing singers, that give a track some 'Soul' the girls on Sean Elliot's - the Joker, give a wee bit more than 'Soul' Ill wager.... Malcolm

Reddington's Selling Up
I useded to go to Reddingtons from the early eighties to mid 9ts I guess, never had much but I did pick one or two up there, from the late 8ts I'd do every record shop in town on a Sat, just on the off chance. But I'd be looking for house as well. Best place for me, for soul was Second City Sounds, which has been mentioned, and the flea market, I always got great 45s from there, one old chap had got a collection, and I bleed him dry over some weeks, couldn't afford to buy it in one go, but being a beginner I put back stuff like Ray Merrell & 21Century cause they sounded crap names. What a fool...Second City sounds would get collections in from Time to time, and I'd occasionally be allowed to go through them, there was some chap called Dave English, who worked at the Gay record shop, loading bay records, he and the owner were mates so he generally had first refusal. the Diskery was always good, but I have to say the life line in the early 9ts was when I started to go to the record fairs, there was one Mick Smith used to go too very near the old site of Reddingtons across from Moor street station, he had stuff for allot of money, remember flicking past the Groovettes, but most things were a tenner, can't believe how much some of those tenner records are worth now... Reddingtons were never into soul, they just didn't have anybody who knew anything about it, certainly not from a Northern point of view.., and folk are right, they could be right miserable sods.... Record Sleeves
Covers 33 are good, that said their inner sleeves for 7 inches are no longer smaller than their card sleeves, if you get my meaning, we ll they are if you trim a bit, they may have solved this since I last bought a batch, but it was an issue for them last year... otherwsie Ive bought from them for years, they are nice people to deal with, and competitive... https://www.covers33.co.uk/

"agent Oo-Soul" Vs "double-O Soul"
that is funny.... remember Richard Serling announcing The Shaddows (With two D's) on his show, the 'Together Again' track on United Audio, for ages I thought two D's was a featured Singer... Dohhh Mal

Ian Dewhirst 6 Hour Dvd Documentary
I used to do what could be termed 'Boring' stuff on your projects Ian, I agreed licenses for quite a few of your Master Cuts Series back in the 9ts early 2000, you would not have heard of me, but I represented various photographers via the agencies I worked at.. I was especially proud of this one 'Rare Groove' Maser Cuts, which was taken by my then boss at PYMCA.. I did the deal, but he got the credit.. has a great track listing which included 'Coke Escovedo - I Wouldn't change a thing' its a shame his copy went walkies when we got a few copies at the office, and I wasn't giving mine up, not for nobody... laughs Mal

Smalltown Boy Reprise 2014
Might not be 'Soul Train' or anything like that, but this was such a big record when I started off going to soul do's, just reminds me of the Outrigger in Birmingham...

Ian Dewhirst 6 Hour Dvd Documentary
John Anderson interviewed! that would be great to hear, has anybody actually ever tracked down Simon Soussant? he's another the world would love to hear from... I have to commend your efforts to promote your products Ian, you seem to ride the negative comments on this forum and still create a hype surrounding your releases... noting short of what the sixties / seventies promotion men would do in the states for the music..I think people forget here how good some of these guys were, aggressive when needed, but they had an understanding of their target audience... and they loved an angle!! lol its all good... John Manship Auction Results 6 - 8 - 2014
Is this the same lot as on Redd Coach - Keep Away? sounds like them to me.. good track, though I have to say I'd want a bit more for £4k personally...for that kind of cash, it would have to put me in orbit, and keep me there.... Its not Gene Toones is it.. that said I dont now if you could buy Gene Toones with £4k?

Curtis Lee Is She In Your Town ( Coda )
Don't want to hijack Ian's sales thread, but the Curtis Lee 45 he has is one Ive never seen, I never knew it existed... Whats interesting is there is an extra 10 seconds on the Coda Release, both registered with (BMI) CPI Music and Seahorse music respectively... Mal
