Tyrone Davis - Can I Change My Mind (Dakar) VG++ £6 Chicago class. So underated IMO. WOL in black marker pen but can bearly be seen as it's on the black colouring of the label. (Looks far worse on scan actually). Plays loud and clear. Don't think it was underrated mate, spent three weeks on the top of the Billboard R&B Chart while climbing to #5 in the Hot 100. It sold over one million copies, and received gold disc recognition.. is it styrene or Vinyl? Mal.C. -
Dunno what people think, But its seems to have got really hard recently dealing with over seas clients, especially new ones, had a guy in oz yesterday charge me $9 Aud for security, IE if you send from OZ you now have to pay 9 dollars to have a security check, I obviously challenged him on this cause I buy Oz releases all the time and no one else does this... anyhow I stood down because I had to have have it and paid the buggar.. fool me, but that Outsiders demo on Aussie capitol with date stamp kept on winking at me... the info on the gift payment was very interesting, and regards acetates kids, buy from trusted dealers as Manship says.. and first time over seas sellers posting on here, guys try to list stuff in pounds, and dont bother with funk records... finally ebay, well there are some frightening listings, great records some at silly buy it now prices, the oil painting is just a joke, but there are some good guys out there still, i do think allot are skimming on post though... As for messers Moss, Devon, Smith, fun though it is I'm now bored of the thread within a thread, pack it in kids... Mal.C

Shellys, Lazer Dome on a Friday was run by a mate of mine, Martin Red, and was frequented in the main by the Midlands crowd, Saturday night was a Manchester night... which I assume would be the night you went up? Just pulled out Landlord, Physco Team, Acts of Madmen, Plez or Mars Bar as we used to call it....Doug Lazy... Some brilliant music got released in those few short years, come 92 I'd had enough and back onto northern I went... still need Reese - Rock to the Beat.. M

Funks a strange Genre, before I got to know the Sydney soul sisters, and their Friday night show in the 2004, specifically Miss Goldie, i'd have pretty much said I hate Funk, and the type of Funk that I assumed would be the staple of that scene, I still feel the same way about...that said I was lucky to hear records like the below which are up there in my top 50 and all that.. If I hear any of the following at a do, which is unlikely... "I'll get back with you, I'm DIRECT to the Dane floor!!!" Rhythm Machine / Rodan, Frankie And The Damons - Bad Woman, The L.A Carnival - Blind Man, Eunice Collins - At The Hotel Third Flight - Third Flight, The Caprells with The Sul Brothers Band - Close Your Eyes, The Ascots - The Graveyard Creep Della Reese - It Was a very Good Year, Eugene Blacknell & The Savonics - Jump Back, James Reese & The Progressions - Let's Go (It's Summertime), Rev Jamel & Bob Johnson - Did you See Those Men Billy Wade & The 3rd Degrees - Tear it up Its all GOOD!! Mal.C.

Got my copy Of Roy Hamilton - 'Crackin up' from my Mum, for some strange reason she said it was Elvis, I don't think she ever read the labels just put them on, she told me this one day in my early teens while miming to it while doing the hoovering, a special memory that... where the hell she ever got that 45, I'll never know, as most of the other stuff, that wasn't Elvis was Peters & Lee...
