Is it inappropriate to pass comment on ebay sales which haven't finished yet? I realise it might p*ss the seller off (if they are on here), but what do others think? Fair game or bad form? Say for example someone puts up for sale a badly produced punk record up and says it's a holy grail modern dancer, with a stupid price? Genuine question.

How strange I collected the label as well. Think I got em all in the end and I cannot remember there being any super rarities. I think I even did an article in one of the soul mags going through all the releases and reviewing them back in the 90s but don't know where it is right now or what the mag was. The label is brimming with great tunes.

Yep, agreed. And "Yes man" doesn't work as well at soul nights as it does at Niters! But that's true of a lot of records.

I sold mine for 500 last autumn (because I never played it), and I think that is a fair price.

I'm a member but I don't take too much notice of it to be honest. Apart from some of us I see it as mainly for people who went a few times or aren't really that serious about the music etc. But that's just me......

Maybe they came out at the same time (103 and 104) ? Quite often labels released records more than one at a time.

Yes Richard I remember it well, three releases all at the same time to kick start the label. Then soon after came the Flaming Emeralds which might puzzle some of the younger members on here, but it was a massive record at Wigan in April 77 as I am sure you'll recall. And that explains some of the other releases like Ronnie Love, Judy Street, Happy Cats etc. The red label came later with Brinstone Ingram etc. and I remember John telling me they didn't take off because Elvis died and the RCA presses were stopped and all filled with re-pressing everything they had on Elvis. ANything non Elvis was put on hold.

Richard had got Don Gardner off of Soul Sam I believe in a straight swap for Larry Houston "Lets spend some time together" which of course was RS's Top Cat cover up. Heady days those late 70s when you think about it!

Leave Lena Zavaroni alone you lot. She used to live round here in an unheated flat and died an anorexic, in extreme poverty. Her's was actually a very sad story.

Yeah so many of us remember this well and how we all wanted to know what it was. The missing Kool Kat number etc.(I think that was mentioned in Chris Savoury's magazine). It was Richard's biggest sound for a fair while.
