  1. It was about years before but I don't think it was considered good enough or rare enough (not saying it is a bad record either) in comparison to what was about at the time.
  2. Glen said "i bought 2 demo's 1 to frame ,one to play out (to save my s'side demo)" in post 4 or 5.
  3. Why didn't you share all this information in your initial post rather than ask why it was an alternate take, was it a withdrawn alternate take and how many was done. If you knew it was JJ Barnes why buy two copies, one to frame and the other to save wear on your Stateside copy
  4. People have received the records as part of a sale though. Others have been deceived into buying counterfeits believing they were being sold an original. But because of someones history, because of what he has done on the scene then that is all ok then.
  5. The few I had are either boxed up or given away. Are there any venue reports and such in them or is it all record talk?
  6. I have a wry smile for all those enterprising Djs who rushed and bought one thinking they had some new and exclusive to play at T'Dog n Duck this weekend
  7. The guitarist on 'Our Last Goodbye" sent me the sound file a few years ago and i posted it on my soundcloud page. I know some got it cut and played it out and it did sound good. The guitarist came on here one time, forget his name.
  8. Thanks mate. If you struggle with the tech maybe a loan of the flyer and I can scan and then return them via registered post.
  9. yep lets get in there quick and make these bootleggers rich
  10. That night was also the 2nd End Of An Era nigter at the Casino, a third was in December. Wigan Tiffs not a success by all accounts because of the Casino. can you scan me the flyer please Jolly? Hi definition if possible 300dpi? Cheers.
  11. I know acts moonlight. But usually they are neglected artists at their labels. Timi was recording with some success. reading the above are you suggesting Geralene Sherry Toomer is in fact an alias for Timi? But If you want to belive it is Timi I'm not going to argue.
  12. Ey up Peter. I remember them but I have some in the echoes you gave me so I can get the scans I need from there at the right quality. I alos have a ooan of some flyers on the way
  13. Sherry sounds nothing like Timi to these cloth ears. Granted on Look Out Love the lead does. But there is nothing in any Timi Yuro bio to suggest it is her which if it is I find strange. Timi was also under contract to either Liberty or Mercury at the time.
  14. Shaun is definitely on my list of people to talk to. If you can give a heads up or even get an email or some form of contact for me it eould be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. It isn't about what we always wish to hear out and there is more than just "us" out there. There are many thousands who have nothing to do with the UK Northern Soul Scene which many seem to think that is all there is and certainly what it is all about There are many collectors who don't go out, who aren't part of the scene, who collect the labels as well as the music. Strangely there are people who like records like this who don't always want to hear a 100 mph stomper that has been hammered for 50 years It is quite evident from the discussion that there is an interest. I don't see any kudos being created, I haven't really seen anyone raving over it, just an attempt to prove its authenticity, if it is real and how to tell its real.
  16. There are plenty of errors in Soul Harmony Singles though Drew.
  17. I would imagine it is done when the record is pressed, I can't imagine any printer printing like that.
  18. Does anyone have a listing for Jenges and the associated labels with the colours of the releases etc?
  19. what year were these? I had some at one time.
  20. I will check what I've got. I definately have the one that didn't happen, Belle Vue. I should have Abraham Moss.
  21. Dont have many for your promotions mate, so if you have any
  22. Think Guy Hennigsn selling one.
