  7. Nice one Andy, look forward to the results of your interview.
  8. It was said elsewhere that the condition may have been a factor for lower prices?
  9. But as old timers, dissect and analyse is all we have left to do 🤣🤪
  10. Guitar Ray is vastly over priced mind for a record that isn’t really rare.
  11. The card inner is probably white on any reissue, usually brown on 60s originals.
  12. And another from the Supremes...no UK or US release on a 45 but it did find it's way onto foreign 45s...so not sure of it properly qualifies for this topic
  13. The album has had a mention but don't think this track has, one of his best for Motown IMO
  14. Chalky replied to Dobber's topic in Look At Your Box
By all accounts he was just touting it, bit of promotion, possibly for a further re-issue. It is super rare but essentially a re-issue.

The Bunky press is the year or two year after the Constellation press if I remember rightly and from the same masters. There has always been plenty of interest in it. I don't know anyone who has seen a Sam Williams issue.
  16. No no no no....no
  17. Chalky replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
I've been putting off watching part 2 because of how pretty dull and boring the first was....maybe it was just building to something better. Will watch both together I think.
  18. Wow what a great release although I expected nothing else. Every release on Soul 4 Real is quality with much thought going in to the whole process.
  19. Chalky replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
Couldn't have been as poor as part 1
  20. Despite some acts being outside our field It’s a decent comp, some excellent choices.
  21. There are a couple of dodgy choices. The Fall, Vanilla Fudge etc but I guess it shows the reach H-D-H had on popular music. The rest of the CD is pretty good.

  23. From what I can gather many UK test press had LPFB stamped on side two and many seem to think it indicates a test tone such as the one yours has Julian.
  24. Looks more like a test press with the ridge round the inner edge. I would have thought an acetate would be flat all the way across the surface too.
  25. I think it was previously unreleased until this CD? https://www.discogs.com/release/5146766-Jackie-Wilson-Through-The-Years-A-Collection-Of-Rare-Album-Tracks-Single-Sides
