  1. Patrice Holloway is possibly the hardest on the label with Stevie/Boy of my dreams. Two or three known copies I think.
  2. The one from the decks at the Rocket had some feedback at he beginning. If this is slower it is only very slightly. It's records like this that made me go back to an allnighter every week, and the hope I would hear more new discoveries like it, it is what it should be all about, top notch northern soul. Must be one of the longest cover ups alongside Diane Lewis?
  3. I don't recall Sam playing it. If he did he will have another of Rob's fakes
  4. Whoever they are you can view the catalogue at https://song-seekers.com/index.php/contact-us
  5. They are the licensing arm for Charly aren't they?
  6. Proper Northern and would have gone big in any era IMO.
  7. Probably was that one, it would be around the time Lifeline started so that date sorta fits in. I think Butch played it at the 100 Club first.
  8. Yes.... https://acerecords.co.uk/ill-pick-a-rose-for-my-rose-complete-motown-recordings-1964-71

  10. Hope so. I never went, I got a load of patches in some sort of deal, these were amongst them. Can't even remember the deal or when, I've had them as long as I can remember.

  12. For those that like memorabilia I have a few patches on e-bay including one fro the HESC Ritz All-dayers in the mid to late 70's. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/chalky101/m.html?item=140985290566&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  13. Cheers Pete. Found a few duplicate patches in the garage. I've had them as long as I can remember. Will stick them on evil bay.
  14. Can anyone tell me when this patch was done, I presume the 70's or early 80's, I've had a few 25 years plus. Found duplicates of a few patches whilst digging in the garage.
  15. If memory serves me correctly it would be early 00's when played here. Greg had the disc a lot longer though. Sure Butch will confirm if he reads this.

  17. It is a lot more recent than Stafford. Greg Tormo had it first as far as I am aware. Then Butch got the first over here, Followed by Mick H and Arthur if memory seres me correctly.
  18. Think the last couple were around £200. Seems to be indemand again.
  19. Deffo a boot
  20. That was the thing with many of the characters back then and there was more than a few, most were just one of the lads, out for a good time, rank never came into it, everyone on an equal footing, even the DJ's. Happy days. C'mon more stories of this mad bunch of nutters, especially the car splitting in two
  21. Tommy Navarro's real name is Luther Walker.
  22. Some of those early goldmine/soulsupply cds fetch quite a bit of money now.
  23. H Thanks mate. I have read the topics again and already have the photos from Paul Franklin. Stuart sent me the one where they storm the 100 Club.
  24. Just had a surf, the theme tune is by Quator and released on BBC records. Can't find one to listen to though.
