Dave Godin - Proms
I agree he would have been shocked if he read some of the abuse and trolling that has been done. The faith should be spread and youngsters encouraged but no one will stand by nor should they and accept the behaviour shown.

Sandi Sheldon Second Issue on Ebay Current $316.00
I still do my homework when spending a tenner, must be stupid to spend £500 and not do anything and simply trust the seller.

Sweet little girl
The highest previous sale on discogs was £90 so where or how did the seller currently offering one come up with a price of £400?

Brice Cofield - ain't that right
The lack of an Alco stamp and delta number is a puzzle as well, they used that system at the time

Brice Cofield - ain't that right
The rumour of an A&M release has been around for decades. Never seen one and don’t know of anyone else either. I’d like to see the source for the inclusion in an A&M 774 listing, was it wishful thinking or did the listing come from the record company? Maybe it was slated for release but never was like many on other labels?

New Release News ?
Yeah agree with that, don’t think it needs to be on the forum at all when you are just redirected from there and with nothing to read there
-
New Release News ?
I don’t think it helps having to go on the topic in the forum and find nothing there but a link to the news item which is away from the main forum.
-
New Release News ?
I’ve said exactly the same on previous releases when folk are more interested in talking the same old sh*te when far more interesting stuff passes by almost unnoticed

maybe they are critical because it is not what the scene or even this site is really about. Soul Source - Rare Northern Soul Music. Topics like this and people like you continually watering it all down, the topic has been done to death with lengthy discussions but you feel the need to start another. Maybe just maybe many of us are getting tired of it? Many of us are tired of the mainstream commercialisation and reducing this once great scene down to div level. It is so far removed from the original ethos of the scene. If people want to wear crass t-shirts and look tw*ts on tv be my guest but don’t keep ramming it down our throats, keep it in that parallel’ universe where we can’t see it. I know we are getting older and don’t get up to the antics we used to but we do like to try and keep it real and still stay away from the divs we went to nighters to get away from in the first place.

Jim McFarland - LONELY LOVER (Summit 1791)
They were indeed download and a cd too, home made. Lou Barreto put them out. The Gloria Jones was released on Phil Dick's label eventually.

And now they milk it for every last penny and drag it further into the div gutter

Why don’t they/you just leave it alone, it isn’t meant for the proms, it is meant to be in an a club preferably underground.
