Moses Dillard And Tex-Town Revue Band
I realise Moses Dillard did work for BilL Smith but on the Anthology CD the title has at the end (feat. Moses Dillard), for example "Sad World Without You (feat. Moses Dillard)". I was wondering if he had more to do with the track other than arranging? Was he singing on them as well?

Moses Dillard And Tex-Town Revue Band
What was Moses Dillard's involvement with Pic and Bill? I downloaded their anthology from iTunes and he has a credit on most of the tracks but there is no liner notes unfortunately so couldn't read about his involvement.

What exactly did Moses Dillard have to do with Pic and Bill? James Moore was Joshua wasn't he not Moses?

Discogs Website
I find it one of the best place to buy records, particularly LP's although the UK sellers are often the most expensive when you look down the lists. Can't say I've used the wants list. I think many disillusioned with eBay and Gemm's charges seem to be using Discogs more and more.

Ebay Butlers On Rouser
At a guess from quick searches on the Internet, Frankie Beverley or whoever owns the name Maze as Maze is owned by Pecle Publishing. https://trademarcx.com/US73120549

Soul Singing Sportsmen
Read conflicting reports of his career, some say he won the golden gloves in Detroit, others say he didn't. However, justvlooked up his record and it was 2 and 8, dunno if that is 2 wins or 8 wins? Berry Gordy also laced the gloves on as well apparently. Remember Gilly telling the tale of James Lately giving Berry a good hiding at school, one reason he was never signed to Motown?

Soul Singing Sportsmen
He was a boxer but only at golden gloves (amateur) level, not very good either if I remember rightly.

Toni Ross - Hurry Back - Har - Town - How Many Copies Known ?
Guy had this at Stafford. It went to Tony Smith who sold it to Carl. It was the only known copy for years till this one turned up. I don't know of any more copies, not to say that here isn't somewhere.

When You Post Up A Wants?
It works both ways. I've replied to a want with a fair price, often cheaper than it is worth yet those asking think they can take the p*ss because we are all fellow members of soul source and tell you they are only willing to pay what amounts to two thirds its actual value. I've stopped responding to many wants and I know others have too. It would save all the hassle if those asking for a want gave a price they were willing to pay.

Dennis Edwards - I Dont Know How Too
"Just a little Misunderstanding" was completed in March 1966. Joe Stubbs left after this and Edwards joined, is this right? So going by the RCA matrix Gareth mentions he more than likely recorded this before joining Motown and the Contours? Maybe Berry Gordy got wind of this recording and not wanting it to interfere with what he was now doing with the Contours made sure it never got released?

Just found this site, shows the different designs and the distributors.....R&B Indies need to do a bit more homework. https://45-sleeves.com/USA/goldwax/gold-us.htm- James Carr Losing Game Goldwax
The scan for 113 is the type of font R&B Indies has for the releases 108 - 112 so they have some wrong info from somewhere. I think you have all the variants though showing??? Someone will correct me if wrong somewhere.- James Carr Losing Game Goldwax
The design on this release, curved with the disc is from the 300 series and began in 1966. The Veltones Tony mentions is 301, the Ovations was the first on this design according to R&B Indies, 300 "Don't Cry". Initially distributed by London (1st release only 910 William Wigfall & The Lyrics)) but quickly moved to Tollie/Vee Jay for all the releases 101 - 120. According to R&B Indies 4 designs before the 300 series, all variants of a block type font...clearly wrong though. 901 101 - 107 108 - 112 113 -120 300 series blue styrene- Was Wigan Casino Voted Billboard’S Best Disco In The World In1978?
It is obvious Spike isn't talking about the same type of disco as being discussed in the other topic. I'm sure there is another topic on here where "The best disco in the world" was discussed at length. it was said there was no trophy or presentation, just some comment in Billboard and carried on in B&S.- All Of My Life - The Ringleaders?
Nice post Dave, good to get the history of something told as it was/is. Is the Winsford anniversary 45 a boot as well? Did they get proper licensing? - James Carr Losing Game Goldwax
