Popsike and collectors frenzy are the last places I would look to price a collection, why folk suggest these two alone is beyond me. You are far better off searching sales on here and other sites for listed sales. Failing that approach a dealer who if you have a list will more than likely price them for you and might even offer you a price for the job lot although getting 500 discs from LA will be costly. Use popsike and CF as a last resort, auction prices are more often than not a true reflection of a current price. Demand, supply, quantity turning up etc as all factors in the current price. I wold invest in a price guide first, better guide than those two sites, Tim Brown has an online guide, fine for many but many also need updating.

By whoever gets the royalties I wasn't referring to be artist, I was referring to whoever the monies are due. I know full well that in the majority of cases the recording doesn't belong to the artist. But how many times has the get out of jail disclaimer you mention been used when the rights owner etc is known?

I'm told many so called legitimate reissues are licensed through the back door and none of those who should get royalties actually receive....nothing.

I have received an email from the person(s) who have done this. In the email are some details of licensing and who the license is obtained from etc and therefore claims it is a legit UK issue. As they are obviously reading this told them to come on here and nail the rumours and give some transparency to all this rather than all the secrecy.

The speeded up boots were an accident, well the tape player they took them off recorded/played at a faster speed than it should have. Tape player was on speed

Hi Alison, fantastic night and Darrow was superb. Just downloading video now, it buggered up at some point, somewhere round what have I got no.....not sure how much I missed but there is over 30 minutes of him. The backing tapes were incredible. I did hear them Friday and they are great listening in their own right. Big thank you to Mouse and Dave Box.

I can't think of it being played but like Franc says doesn't mean it hasn't. The "Wont You Come On Home" side could be a play on the R&B side of the scene.
