  1. The Lee Jennings on eBay or auction few months ago?
  2. Reckon I'd want more than that for mine right now, maybe £60-£70? Wouldn't surprise me if it goes higher in the future with demand.
  3. The original has Dotty's in a curve across the top. The boot has "Dotty's From Detroit" and another which is a copy of the original with the curved Dotty's. I'm sure I've seen the multicoloured one but it was a long time ago and can find no scan of it.
  4. Original.... It has the fantastic "Something About My Baby" on the flip. "Something About My Baby" also shares the same backing as Sandy Golden's "When We're All Alone Tonight" on Masterpeice. Sandy lead singer of the Sweets? The boot...this as said simply has the instrumental onn the flip and is a plain yellow label.

  10. It's "How Can You Say That Ain't Love"
  11. Good post Rich but this isn't a problem just in the South regardless what people say. The Wilton has struggled in recent times with attendances. Fantastic venue, one of the best in the country IMO, decent line up every time and good mixture of music and styles. It has a very large catchment area yet time after time we fail to see any of the local soulies, even those within an hours drive with the attendance made up mostly of travellers. You only see many of them when a free badge is given away at the anniversary. It's the same with other venues too. Fridays does have some part to play with many working Saturdays, work late Friday, many work away all week so to bugger off to a niter and then be tired all weekend isn't fair on the family.

  13. Prime and Prime Records. here's the topic
  14. Yeah it's in collections, think I posted it in refosoul. Last one I saw was I think £200 not so sure about an up to date price. Would have though well known to collectors but pretty much unknown to the dance floor.
  15. To be honest dave I would say what you wrote is nearer the mark. He couldn't remember much when I spoke and it was like you said patchy. I'll have to see if I can find the e-mail and Instant Messenger chats we had as well.
  16. From what I remember Hadley telling me, James Mitchell was the lead singer. Hadley never sang with the group, there was talk that he did but he categorically told me he didn't. He also said they are all dead now and that apart from KM he couldn't remember any names. He also told me they met at Luke Airforce Base.
  17. If I've heard these I don't remember hearing, what they like pal?
  18. I reckon ours would They'd probably break it over their knee and shove it through the letter box
  19. There is some Maurice and the Radiants on the Beat Series releases which The Bear Family put out on DVD few years ago. Not sure if this is one of them, "Baby You Got It" is I think. https://www.bear-fami...he-beat/?lang=1
  20. Think it was Flanny who had one up for sale, white demo, £80 I think.
  21. I could just about stretch to £20 for Eddie Ray, Betty Fykes, Eddie Daniels and george Blackwell And someone said t'other day we've never had it so good today buying records. Not very often you see sales lists like that these days
  22. I presume the reason Ace and others can use a 30 second clip is for sales purposes? Maybe reason why clips are allowed in sales? As for rest of site it is probably perceived as file sharing if not sales related???? Anyway it's one thing reading every post as a moderator but to download every sound clip if allowed to make sure it doesn't break the law is something I don't fancy doing. As said it is a site rule, there for a good reason I presume and I don't make the rules just enduser they are followed. Hopefully refosoul will be back up and running in the near future so that will solve the problem. Do as Dave suggested Pete?
  23. PM'ed you Pete, not going to get into an argument here. I don't make the rules, simply follow them.
