  2. It's "How Can You Say That Ain't Love"
  3. Good post Rich but this isn't a problem just in the South regardless what people say. The Wilton has struggled in recent times with attendances. Fantastic venue, one of the best in the country IMO, decent line up every time and good mixture of music and styles. It has a very large catchment area yet time after time we fail to see any of the local soulies, even those within an hours drive with the attendance made up mostly of travellers. You only see many of them when a free badge is given away at the anniversary. It's the same with other venues too. Fridays does have some part to play with many working Saturdays, work late Friday, many work away all week so to bugger off to a niter and then be tired all weekend isn't fair on the family.

  5. Prime and Prime Records. here's the topic
  6. Yeah it's in collections, think I posted it in refosoul. Last one I saw was I think £200 not so sure about an up to date price. Would have though well known to collectors but pretty much unknown to the dance floor.
  7. To be honest dave I would say what you wrote is nearer the mark. He couldn't remember much when I spoke and it was like you said patchy. I'll have to see if I can find the e-mail and Instant Messenger chats we had as well.
  8. From what I remember Hadley telling me, James Mitchell was the lead singer. Hadley never sang with the group, there was talk that he did but he categorically told me he didn't. He also said they are all dead now and that apart from KM he couldn't remember any names. He also told me they met at Luke Airforce Base.
  9. If I've heard these I don't remember hearing, what they like pal?
  10. I reckon ours would They'd probably break it over their knee and shove it through the letter box
  11. There is some Maurice and the Radiants on the Beat Series releases which The Bear Family put out on DVD few years ago. Not sure if this is one of them, "Baby You Got It" is I think. https://www.bear-fami...he-beat/?lang=1
  12. Think it was Flanny who had one up for sale, white demo, £80 I think.
  13. I could just about stretch to £20 for Eddie Ray, Betty Fykes, Eddie Daniels and george Blackwell And someone said t'other day we've never had it so good today buying records. Not very often you see sales lists like that these days
  14. I presume the reason Ace and others can use a 30 second clip is for sales purposes? Maybe reason why clips are allowed in sales? As for rest of site it is probably perceived as file sharing if not sales related???? Anyway it's one thing reading every post as a moderator but to download every sound clip if allowed to make sure it doesn't break the law is something I don't fancy doing. As said it is a site rule, there for a good reason I presume and I don't make the rules just enduser they are followed. Hopefully refosoul will be back up and running in the near future so that will solve the problem. Do as Dave suggested Pete?
  15. PM'ed you Pete, not going to get into an argument here. I don't make the rules, simply follow them.
  16. I've listened to the Jimmy McFarland tracks quite a few times, both poor IMO and not a patch on Bob Relf. The intro to one of them forget which as I type doesn't sound part of the rest of the track, sounds like it was added on after, the volume for the intro is louder as well. The Gloria Jones take is very good but I'd like to know when it was done?
  17. Nice to know who your friends are? I'll remember that next time you are Lifeline and you want to get in as my guest For you to insinuate that those who knew him knew what he was up to, did nothing about it is out of order. Any scumbag who nicks records and gets caught should have his hands chopped off, whether they be your records, Eddies records or some rich record company owner! As Rob said he was one step ahead of everyone until caught at Yarmouth.
  18. Why have you lost you old account Mike? Not being nosey, might just be something Mike or Nick can sort? Your old/other account still in the members list?
  19. Dunno what you are insinuating Ken? Don't you think if anyone knew or could prove it or even catch him in the act before he was caught something would have been said. He didn't hang around with who you said, he was part of the South Yorks, North East Midlands crew at the time, he didn't travel with myself or Rob etc. Get your facts right and put your brain into gear before making comments like you do. We know it goes on but catching them at it or proving it is another thing altogether. Now this topic is about Eddie and his records, not something that happened 15 or 20 years ago.
  20. The group members were Jimmy Jordan, Sam Tate and Eddie Moore. That came from BobA after he interviewed them as I crossed the names in Soul Harmony Singles out. https://www.sittinginthepark.com/interviews.html
  21. Dennis and the Intentions.....
  22. Maybe if you hadn't included all the links to JM and if he hadn't one up for auction then maybe it would have been ok, it's pretty obvious what you are doing.
  23. Pete can you put the scans in one post please, unnecessary bumping and can you edit your original post with "held" Sold" etc, not reply with what record is on hold etc.
