    Fantastic record 'Arry Here's another cheapie that along with Oliver Norman is now getting requested when I'm out spinning a few....JJ Daniels - Mr Lonesome - Sureshot (£30/40). Also Benny Latimore - Girl I Got News For You - Dade (£20 or so) which I've played out last few years.

    no they are mid tempo, same as June Jackson, too quick for a ballad IMO. Would you call a ballad mid tempo? I wouldn't. Beat Ballad to me is exactly what it says, a ballad with a beat bu slower tha mid tempo. Many of those listed are not what I would call a beat ballad, simply mid tempo.
  16. No it ain't that bad. The playing of "new" records several times has always gone on hasn't it? even when it was easier to "break" a record to the scene.
