  1. I have a couple of tapes Eddie Hubbard sent up to convert that Randy Cozens made. They were originally Mark Taylor's who then passed them onto Eddie. Simply titled Randy Cozens Collection and there is volume 2 and 3. Randy was a huge influence to many with great varied taste especially the more mid tempo and deeper stuff.
  2. The last two Sound of Soul Shows. Last weeks show with Ady Crampton sitting in for Dean and Gez and this weeks show with Kevin Johansen and Richard Dixon joining Dean in the studio.
  3. The only reason the governing bodies are meddling is because of the greed of the clubs. They had to reform to stave off the threat of a super league. The Champions League iOS nothing to do with FIFA either. But back to the original question, this league format has been so much better with any more games actually ,meaning something and some of the so called lesser teams having a big impact on the outcomes. I doubt Celtic would have gone through if not had been the previous format. Under the old format the groups had little meaning after a couple of games.
  4. Happy birthday mate
  5. Thats so sad. Very knowledgeable and enjoyed his posts. R.I.P.
  6. Very surprised at that Ady, extremely rare 45.
  7. Listened to Carolyn Sullivan on Caray and Martha and not so sure they are the same singer, might be my ears and the laptop?
  8. I wonder how Cressa is a fake? It is the same as Martha with a break cut out?
  9. A quick search on popsike chucks 63 copies up, not to mention the copies sold by other means and outlets. Its no where near as rare as some make out now.
  10. Some of the better ones fetch 125 to 250 quid.

  11. John has said the postage is a discogs thing and he will adjust the postage as they come to the order to suit the order.
  12. It was exactly the same when Crossover was en vogue. The majority labelled as such were nothing to do with crossover and many 70s and 80s tracks lazily labelled crossover.
  13. I have, 30/12 and 4/1, not received any yet but I am patient.
  14. DEAN ANDERSON presents THE SOUND OF SOUL™ 16th January 2025 8 -10pm **LIVE CHAT EVERY WEEK** On this edition of the show we have our 1st guest of 2025 in the for of the young(er than most of us) Charles Simpson. A young man who has enthusiasm, energy and a thirst for Soul music. With parents Jayne and Matthew Simpson he is from good soulful pedigree! Join Gez and Dean for 2 hours of the usual quality music and live chat for our third show of 2025.
  15. He isn't selling just via discogs though is he, he has his website as well. Those listed will be amongst the 4 million in storage so still an effort to find once an order received.
  16. I want it…..I want it now Is really that big an issue you have to wait awhile for your records. Christmas, New Year, flooding all getting in the way. I’m sure John in hindsight might have done things differently or not even bothered at all if he knew the slagging he would get from certain quarters but it is what it is. You will get your records (or a refund if out of stock)in time.
  17. £3.95 I was charged for one 45
  18. Just highlights really how many from the northern scene live in its own insular world and think nothing else matters. Other genres of soul and black music and tempos have been collectible since soul music began.
  19. Aww that’s really sad, lovely lass. R.I.P. Lindsay.
  20. Happy birthday x
  21. Soul Junctions association with the Scot-Tees Capri catalogue bears fruit with a great previously unissued My Sweet Polly by The Scott Brothers. Judson Moore & The Al-Tog Staff back them up with a previously unissued studio version of the excellent Everybody Push & Pull. Two dance floor winners causing quite a buzz with radio plays before release. View full article
