I will Supremes...Soul MOR pop most of their output IMHO Anyway most of us like the old arguements But does anyone really give a shit what anyone else thinks? as long as I like it I don't care what anyone else thinks same for you and ypour son I would imagine? I'll debate or argue, whatever, but at the end of the day it's me alone I have to please...unless I'm Djing of course Glad to see your leading him down the right path though
  2. Keb Darge Floorfillers, Echoes mid 80's.
  3. Sam Williams quality mate

$900 was july 2004. was one on ebay in November for $417 and a few months previous for $545.
  9. agree with your comments. Have seen/heard some DJ's play some fantastic records but unfortunately the way the set was put together it just didn't work, didn't flow etc so would be like you say pretty misleading to how the night went.
  10. trouble is not that many venues that don't play played out oldies very few that cater for the leser known side of the scene many playlists I see would make me think twice about some venues so tend not to take much notice of them. If you are about on a regular basis you tend to get to know the dj's on the scene and what they tend to play. Normally I can make my own judgement from a flyer as to what to expect regardless of what the promoters promise
  11. seeing records like that on a playlist, as good as they may be would put me off going to a venue unfortunately. Heard them a million times and no wish to hear them out anymore.
  12. Hmmmmm.....tough one this. First one definately never chnages, but the rest can change like the weather but here goes for now.... 1. Tommy Ridgely - My Love Gets Stronger - International City...simply awesome! 2. Mello Souls - We Can Make It - Mello..the epitome of Northern Soul, rare as hens teeth, uptempo manic black soul dancer. 3. Diane Lewis - You Ain't Got A Chance. Again what Northern Soul is all about to me, great dancer. 4. Billy Hambric - She Said Goodbye/I Found True Love - Drum. Two great sides, both classic Northern! 5. Jean Wells - With My Love And What You've Got - Calla. F*cking great dancer

Seen it recently out in a box for £250. Personally wouldn't pay more than £250/£300 either, just demand hiking the price if it is any more, seems to be up for sale on a fairly regular basis and getting over played too IMO
  15. Same record. Invincibles (on Ciray) has great flip though, labels usually reversed as well. Fros Ray has two different colour labels too.
  16. a mate had one of these a while back and he struggled to get £400 for the issue although personally think it's worth it.
  17. round about the £100 mark, have seen for bit more in the past and also a bit less

Didn't Jan Bradley record Back In Circulation on this label? Most of her work done in Chicago.
  20. I would prefer to hear The Group, Freddie Chavez and Tony Galla over all his choices
  21. I actually prefer the Precisions There's plenty but when there are thousands of quality soul records worthy of playing why play pop
  22. Sure it was a Stafford spin.
