  7. September's the month for daddy long legs. Get a few early Aug then they tend to peak this month before the first frosts kill them off. Fish especially trout love them and can be caught quiet readily on a imitation daddy long legs fly. In Ireland they use the live adults in a method called dapping which basically involves hooking the fly gently so it's still alive then lowering it onto the waters surface so that it looks like it's landed naturally to fool the trout into taking the bait. Steve
  8. Steve. I will say it for you. I like it and would have said about £150/ £200 Steve
  9. Russ. Never even thought of anyone would be still doing this. But with today's technologies bet you could make some superb recordings.so Andy , Butch, etc if you see me stood next to the stage next time your DJ,ing I'm listening and not recording your set's. Honestly. Not like back in the day trying to get a cassette recorder on the stage at Wigan and having batteries for the thing which was probably the hardest part. Steve

Chalky. I remember it from keele. Can't remember who played it and I also remember it from tonys, didn't know it was you Mick that played it, didn't know who it was. I also remember it on the white boot and it was definitely after the Gladys knight. Too late. So me thinks late 94 ish Steve
  21. Thanks Martyn. It was mostly green with blue band's.about 3 1/2" maybe 4" long. And another I seen was red with orange bands but that was about 2" long Steve
  22. Frank Wright's where I believe the original comos. Used to have a pair when I was at secondary school they like all school shoes got wrecked. Bought some royal brogues in about 1978, still got them, knackered now but can't bear to throw them out. I do remember the last time I got them soled and heeled that it cost me way more than the £17 that the shoes cost me originally. Steve
  23. Was out and about locally today and I finally managed to get a dragonfly picture but when I looked at my camera settings I had turned off the image stabilization so the picture turned out a bit blurred. Gutted. Note to myself CHECK camera settings before I try to use it. Will post image when I get chance so Martyn can identify it for me (please). I think it's a hawker of some description Steve
  24. That's fabulous news. Not seen any in Manchester/north west apart from one near Chester about two years ago, but I don't think it will be to many year's before their are regular sightings of them all over the north of England. Steve
