News: 5 x New 45s Via Kent - Valerie Simpson, Pretenders, Albert Washington, Hesitations...
Is it just me, or is ace/kent records the worst place to by their merchandise etc. I try and buy 3 or 4 items but I'm consistently going in circles trying to put more than one item in basket. Love the label and output but bloody hate the website. Please ace, sort it.

Ted Massey- RIP
Ted was such a good man, always time for a chat. Such a legend on the Scene. One of those guys who was loved by all. May he rest in peace. Just want to say I think what happened to Ted and his records was despicable. I hope that the people that stole are eventually named and shamed. Ted carried on as all was normal, such was his heart, big enough for everyone on the soul scene

Those Funny Northern Soul Tracks
Remember hearing 5000 volts 'I'm on Fire', at the Casino. I walked off the dance floor in a Huff. Another record to consider is John Miles 'One Minute Every Hour'. I met John in the 90s and mentioned the record, he was bloody amazed anyone knew it.

R.I.P Tony Middleton
R I P. A damn good singer whose wonderful voice enthralled the northern scene. Today is a day of Paris blues.

Itv Ready Steady Go Rsg! The Sound Of Motown 1965
Dusty genuinely seemed to be having the time of her life. A kid in a sweet shop in her favourite pick n' mix. A great early showcase of Motown music that become the staple diet for mods and hipsters of the day and eventually the soul fans of the UK.

Girl Groups The Story Of A Sound
I'll defy anybody that didn't shed a tear when Mary Wilson talks about the death of Florence Ballard. Enjoyed the documentary
