  1. Ah right, a friend of mine bought something some years ago. I presumed it was a yearly thing for JM to do. Cheers Paul

  4. Yes there are plenty of Dutch bootlegs around, usually booted for the Suriname Soul Scene. But they were almost all Deep Soul or ballads. So why The Temps 45 was booted I don''t know. Maybe a ballad flipside ? Cheers Paul
  5. Both released 1968.,Leaders in November. Courtesy "Soul Harmony Singles" and listed as two different groups so I would guess not the same group, Cheers Paul

  7. OK Thanks for all the replies. Seems to be that Soul Sam was the 1st to play it. although late 70s, Ian Levine may have played it @ Sale but probably not @ Mecca @Rick Cooper or maybe once or twice but not enough dancefloor respone. I get that with the "turnover" of tunes at the time, I was just curious as to the review in "75 Cheers Paul
  8. Maybe Merve, I don't know. I didn't hear Arthur DJing until the Snaith events which were pretty much all "Modern " Cheers Paul
  9. Wow like a Tom Moultan mix ! I don"t doubt your memory just never heard Sam play Jimmy B Do you remember the venue ? Date ? No big deal . I started this topic because I was surprised Jimmy B was reviewed as early as 75 Cheers Paul
  10. I remember Sam playing Brand New Faces as he didn"t have JB Cheers Paul
  11. Thanks for that Rick. Heres the review. He also revues Joseph Moore "I Can t Get To You" in the same issue along with some more 60s. Cheers Paul
  12. Just read a revue of this by Ian Levine in an old Black Music magazine from October 1975. A record I"d associated with Richard Searling later Wigan Casino. So was this played earlier ? Cheers Paul
  13. It was not released until "The Mercury Years '' CD in the 90s. Cheers Paul

  22. Looking forward to Russell Gilbert making a welcome return as guest DJ for this first night of the new season. Cheers Paul
  23. Best version for me. I have a promo copy of the LP where one af the lyrics is bleeped out. Stock copy plays as normal. Also like Roberta Flacks version Cheers Paul
  24. C'mon people its a work of fiction. Hardly going or meant to reflect the err scene Cheers Paul
  25. I remeber it too. It was massive for Richard as an exclusive. Also a couple of weeks before the Grapevine release all the all-nighter jocks got a promo copy. So every one of them started their spot with it one Saturday @ Wigan. I went straight to Brum Locarno All-dayer where all jocks started their spots with it too. Safe to say I really don't need to hear the freaking thing anymore in this lifetime. Cheers Paul
