Did The Daleks Kill Off The Us Chitlin Circuit ?
Was lucky enough to see The Dells /Emotions /and Bloodstone @ The Paramount Theater in Oakland a few years ago...........absolutly beautiful art deco building. Heard there was just as nice a theater in San Francisco but the powers that be pulled it down ? Cheers Paul.

Basic Black & Pearl "There'll Come A Time..." has a slightly longer "outro" on the UK release than the US 45......not heard the original Canadian 45 so don"t know if thats the same Cheers Paul

San Francisco/california Record Shopping
I was all day in Rookys in Janruary and bought three 45s ! I actually bought more LPs there this time round. But they're always getting "new" records so you never know. Also they know prices so most high end northern stuff goes straight on the bay. Also may be worth asking to see Dicks "good box" which he keeps behind the counter. Also SBOY Amoeba and Rasputin Records (downtown San Francisco store) have stores in Berkley, which is a short ride away accross the bay on the BART, and I've found their prices to be less than the same stores in San Fran Cheers Paul PS jinx74 is a San Francisco resident/record dealer and a member on here so maybe worth a PM

San Francisco/california Record Shopping
Hi SBOY If you like slower/laid back grooves I can reccomend the Elbo Room on Tuesday nights. Its situated in the Mission district 647 Valencia St between 17th & 18th. A lovely old bar and no door tax....... DJs playing (mainly) 60s down/mid tempo soul from original vinyl. Also the Lipo Lounge in China town has DJs on Sunday nights in the basement playing 70s rare grooves/2step thru to 80s boogie tunes As Golden 101 has said Rookeys on Haight (between Filmore & Webster) and Amoeba are always worth a look.....just accross the road from Rookeys towards upper Haight is Groove Merchant Records (ask to see 45s boxed up behind the counter) It s a great town and I"m sure you'll have a fantastic time Cheers Paul

Find My Way - Unreleased/unknown Version (Now Identified)
Yes but if Hayes had recorded it he would probably sold a whole lot more records making more dosh for "JM" boba I see your point about it being a finished track..........maybe Melfi was looking to release it himself (if it is him singing) ? Cheers Paul
-
Find My Way - Unreleased/unknown Version (Now Identified)
Maybe Melfi cut the acetate in the hope that Isaac Hayes himself would record it......hence the "rap" intro that Mr Hayes used in a lot of his recordings Then Melfi sent the 45 with note to show his dissapointment ? Maybe its John Melfi himself on the acetate ? It would be good to hear his later (Pyramid ?)version to compare the voices Cheers Paul

Cameo is also on Choc City Russell not Casablanca. Also got a release in Holland (or Belgium, can't lay my hands on it at the moment) with a pic sleeve, Joker Records (I think !) Remember reading that The Players had to change their name to Cameo under pressure from The Ohio Players Cheers Paul
