  1. "I Wanna Tell My Baby" isn't bad, but I prefer their other one on D-Town, "Mexican Love Song", which I do have. Best, Mark
  2. With regards to the stereo copies, were they recorded at a lower volume? When I DJ'ed with my copy, it didn't seem too loud, and I had it on 6 out of 10 on the volume. Best, Mark
  3. Artie is a.friend of mine on Facebook...he was pleasantly surprised when I mentioned Marcia Brody and Right Combination. Best, Mark
  4. What if the writing on the label is someone's autograph? My copy of Is This the Way to Treat a Girl by the Hesitations has their signatures on it (albeit the current group, which features one original member), and I also have a Dan Penn single on Atlantic autographed by the man himself and a copy of Robert Knight's Everlasting Love signed by the song's co-writer Buzz Cason. Best, Mark
  5. Usually, I get a short break so I can sit and enjoy one of the brunch entrees, but the venue's owner, who usually spins a couple of records while I eat, didn't show up till I was almost finished! Best, Mark
  6. They've released about three singles, one of which (Tell Me b/w their version of Do Whatcha Wanna Do) has gotten some UK spins. I took a video of them performing Tainted Love at their New Year's Eve gig a couple of years ago, but it's on my previous cell phone, which has a broken LCD, and I have no idea how to retrieve it. Best, Mark

  8. My Heart is Calling by Jackie Wilson...and put Growin' Tall on the other side!! Best, Mark
  9. Got a few to trade, but nothing as good as what you're offering..at least I don't think I have anything that great. Best, Mark
  10. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those you want, but I just wanted to say that it's nice to see people trading 45s on here. I thought all the trade activity DIED! Best, Mark
  11. This extends to individual names as well...there are two Chuck Jacksons, who oddly enough both were associated with Wand Records (the famous solo artist from the '60s and the guy who was in the Independents), two Al Wilsons (the Help Me guy and the more famous guy of Show and Tell fame), two Nancy Wilsons (the jazz/soul singer and the girl in Heart) and two guys named Tony Williams (the Platters guy and the jazz guy who played drums for Miles Davis). Best, Mark
  12. There are least three Attractions groups (L.A. group on Renfro and Bell, Chicago group on June Bug, and Detroit group on De-To) and at least four Inspirations groups (L.A. guys on Breakthrough, Chicago guys on Midas, Philadelphia guys on Wand and New York girls on Black Pearl). Would I be correct in assuming that the Citations on Ballad.and the Citations on Solid Soul are two different groups? Best, Mark
  13. Just heard the Wonders' version via YouTube. I like it, though not as much as their other tunes. As for the song itself, I think I prefer the O'Jays version, which I should dig out for my next DJ gig. Best, Mark
  14. I can't help but notice that since the Sales and Trading forums were merged, that there haven't been many posts about trading records. Have people stopped trading altogether here? I'm a little puzzled. Best, Mark
  15. Never met him, but we did have some interaction on FB, and he seemed like a decent guy. RIP, Alf... Best, Mark
  16. Mine's a little less than clean, but I still was able to DJ with it. Best, Mark
  17. Sounds fantastic...and now I have another record to look for! Bad enough that I don't have Just a Dream... Best, Mark
  18. Didn't know the Imperial Wonders had more than one on Day-Wood? Best, Mark
  19. How much is the regular black label Musicor issue worth? Best, Mark
  20. Damn...$14 for Two People? I guess I should take a better look at EBay! Best, Mark
  21. Are people breaking up those box sets and selling them individually? Just curious... Best, Mark
  22. Two recent trade pickups...Don't Forget That I Love You by the Intentions and a Holland issue of Seven Rooms of Gloom by the Four Tops, complete with picture sleeve. I also picked up a Fantastic Four on Soul, I'm Gonna Hold On, for $6. Best, Mark
  23. There's also a New Zealand issue of Roy Roberts Got to Have Your Love on Stateside. I was fortunate enough to get it in a trade. Best, Mark
  24. I have a Marvellos...PM me. Best, Mark
  25. He has done a Northern soul cover...he did a nice version of Frank Lynch's tune Young Girl on his second album. He is from the same area in Massachusetts that Lynch was from. Best, Mark
