  18. Yes before anyone starts, I know the site is Soul Source, not Garage or 1960s Punk Source........ However I wonder if anyone can help me? Tidying through a pile of 45s I came across one I had not looked at/played for a long time (probably since I bought it). Its The Moxies "Get a move on/Please don't go" Monza....pleasantly snotty organ/guitars/60s punk garage type of thing. I found it in junk shop in Leeds (now a taxi office) late 1980s in a pile of country & western/hillbilly 45s. I know most of them were crap because I bought a load just because they were on "good-looking" labels! Most became Oxfam donations.......... From the same pile of stuff came a Cletus Marland on Geneva....so it was a good morning as I recall... Anyway............back to the present........I came across the record again yesterday as I said. Thought I would google it and got the pleasant surprise that it had been comp'd. Then thought I would popsike it and came up with 3 entries, the funniest one is below........ https://www.popsike.com/ULTRA-RARE-GARAGE-45-THE-MOXIES-GET-A-MOVE-ON-MONZA/4864431946.html So, anyone know anymore? Oh yes, before I forget, to me this is as relevant to SS as discussing Lisa Stansfield or Pharrel wotsit.... Best regards Steve
  19. "Nollaig shona dhaoibh" 21012 and 2103 new year's resolution finally becoming useful... Best regards Steve
  20. nice track....... how did your set go down? regards
  21. not the worst 3 minutes of my life..... if I had to speculate I would say Terence Trent whats his face Is it the song for the new X Factor winner?
  22. Thanks for that..... think it can go and sit back in the garage for that sort of price......... Fits in with the recent post on lower priced 45s not selling at all...
  23. Hi Peter, good lp....shame to let it go but it has not been played in forever.... snapshot of the times..... Side2 may still be a bit modern for me think I bought it at Clifton Hall..?
  24. thanks. yep the second one.... think there's also For Dancers Only in garage... looks like ebay it is...
  25. I really only buy 45s. However over the years (like most people I guess) I have ended up with lots of big dinner plates. I won't play them and before they go to landfill, are any of the following Various Artists worth selling? VWVON All Nite Long ~ early 1980s bootleg with 6Ts one side and modern ( ) the other Pye Disco Demand ~ Solid Soul Sensations ~ Ian Levine comp with Anglos, Jack Montgomery, Masqueraders etc This is Loma ~ Volumes 1-7 ~ I think that was the full set Talk of The Grapevine, Sound of The Grapevine and This Is Northern Soul ~ all 3 of the releases (I think) Capital Soul ~ Horaces Soulful Kinda Music ~ Soul Supply ~ which still has shrink seal on it and the price (£5.49 ~ Virgin records 1985!) ~ this has Contenders, Bell Boys, Phil terrell etc All are good nick, ranging from well played (Pye) to the basically brand new (Soul Supply). I know there's more in the garage......should I just leave them there?
