Just thought i'd take the time to send a post about some good people on ebay ....we keep hearing horror stories and tales of dodgy dealers !! Got a track from a guy in the states and it plays great but i mentioned to him that it had a warp when it arrived that hadn't been mentioned ...told him i didn't want to return it as i'd been after a copy for over a year but if he found another i would like a chance at it first ....no quibble at all he sent a really nice email and refunded everything not asking for a return .......with an apology !! So there are some good uns out there ...also i have had a few freebies thrown in in the past ....anyone else had some good dealings opposed to rip-offs??Apologies if this subject has been done to death ??Would give the guy a mention if that's ok ??

After reading all this ......i consider myself lucky ...VERY..... lucky that i enjoy dancing to all of it wherever it gets played without worrying if it should be played at that particular point ! I don't remember going out and liking every record i heard in 1 night but if i like it i dance ....et voila ...a good night out !!!

New to collecting and couldn't believe how this opened up hundreds of new brilliant tracks to me ......when i asked more experienced collectors/DJ's/punters.......why these tunes were unplayed ....value was cited as the main reason in most cases???Thankfully i'm finding venues that aren't driven or governed by these rules....just people wanting to play quality tunes!!

My mondegreen moment Soul City cold hearted blues "the doctor says i've got the mumps" in fact it is" two months"....however in my defence i did listen harder as i thought it was a load of b*llocks !! My other half has ruined countless songs for me though by purposefully changing the lyrics...eg.T D Valentine "caught inside your mudflap"....i do apologise to everyone else who can't get rid of that from now on !! Think yourselves lucky i only shared one with you !!

Just wanted to say i ventured into the "apparently " shady world of record trades last night !!!Been collecting for just under two years....decided as you do that some of your purchases are'nt "all of that "......so put a box together for trading.....NOT SALES !!! Explained i was new to this and had little idea of value of his trades !! ....2 records were wanted... my reply was .."GIVE ME A FAIR DEAL FOR THEM"....i know it's the festive season , but fuck me i must have had more flashing lights on me than a Christmas tree...saying MUG.. 3 recieved........;....one re- issue/boot???? (Apparently ..according to another DJ on the night ),having looked at " the book "it obviously is.....one as good as explained, and the other waiting for another tit like me !! Life was simpler when i just danced !! Please don't ask for names ....not gonna tell you !!! Just thought i'd mention it with the intention of stopping it happening to you ,if you're as green as me !!
