Yes up 3 times recently, involved 2 actual copies in similar condition, the 1st is indeed now living in NYC, then Brad went a bit opportunist and listed one with an even higher buy-it-now than the 1st finished at, no takers on that so he relisted it again at a low starting bid and cheekycarlie just won it.
  2. Much nicer to have as a Mod label issue, that purple and green design is boss!!
  3. Yes Pete it's me, tx for the kind words, hi Dazz too!!! No one seems to have answered re the Fabuletts, Flynny have you ever had this one? Will be looking out for the one you mentioned, new to me.
  4. Not for sure needless to say but group name is spelled differently (there's no "e" after the 2 t's) and voices sound different, someone here will surely know!!? Who else has a copy of the Mode one, can't recall seeing one on any playlists / sales lists.
  5. I've got a few diff issues of that Ronnie Mitchell, one has Hang Loose as the flip, agree yes that is def the one to get!
  6. Don't think it's the same group fella, yes it's Mode 504, picked it up together with my 2nd Klicky last year, I can't do soundclips but wing me your # and will give a bell over the weekend if you wanna hear it.......
  7. Well seeing as she shares my surname I had to have one!! I know of 3 copies Pete, as you mention I had 2, traded one to Matt Finewine for a one-off, a very good friend in Spain has another, maybe it's his you're selling otherwise that's 4, plus whatever # are in the UK - you'd know better than me on that score obviously. It's comped on one of those N'Awlins cd's so someone either has another copy or the master. Do you know the Fabulettes on the same label, she's definitely part of the group, kind of like the Brand New Faces in that it's 3 girls each taking their turn to step up and destroy the mic, that's a monster 45 waiting to be picked up on, then the Jades with Lucky Fellow obviously and from memory one more on label. Good luck selling, super record, regards from NY, Michael
  8. Have a Connie, picked up in PA several years ago, great 2-sider, agree def prefer it to the other 2 versions
  9. Flip of the Deadbeats just as good.....

Dug out that Debonettes just yeterday, good 45!
  12. Have been in some crappy places but one of worst that comes to mind was Eddie Threeway's, above a long-closed store in a really ropey part of New Orleans (and ropey in New Orleans means genuinely dangerous), had to clamber up up a ladder into an attic piled with thousands of records with no lights and holes in the floor you couldn't see, the ladder had to be locked up while you were up there or it would be stolen the area was so grim, for a $1 you could run an electric cord into a little barbershop next door for a lightbulb, but the thing that made it truly sad was the owner/seller, Eddie Jr, who used to run the store downstairs had been shot in there by a random bullet that had bounced off the doorframe and hit him and it left him partially paralysed for life, plus all the store stock downstairs was stolen while he was in the hospital, he never did find out who the bullet was meant for either but apparently the guy he thinks pulled the trigger ended up on the wrong end of a bullet himself soon after. Once got some great stuff at a lock-up that was led to by a guy who arranged to meet me by a payphone at a donut store by an offramp miles from anywhere, found reasonable stuff but nothing special until spotted one small box buried at the back away from all the other stuff, turned out he'd never got round to pulling it out before and almost every single thing was a goodie and all of $2 each - James Wayne on Key-Lan was first out the box I remember - so was feeling really great afterwards.....until realised I'd left a shoulder bag in his lock-up with my passport in it and he'd driven off and didn't have a cellphone, double doh! But yes it can be a lot easier when you magically find something filed neatly in full view in the stock section, still can't believe that in the same place that loads of people here have surely hit over the years found the Hyperions on Chattahoochee, Oliver Christian on Legrand, Soul Commanders on Lifetime and many more just sitting there in their clearly marked place, $25, $20 and $15 respectively, the owner now tends to look things up in the price guide but luckily JM in one of his guides had Tee and Cee and the LTD's under L instead of T so recently got charged $10 for that as he didn't spot it, thanks John!
  13. J. Young and the Fabulous Dobbs on Naj Ma, 1.42, so I paid almost $11/second, ouch!
  14. I have another version, better than LP as on 45, Junco Partners, Columbia DB 7665, and it's darn good. Manship had one last time I looked, mine came from Nick at Intoxica awhiles back. Funnily they've reunited so maybe you can even see them do it live! The Detroit Cobras covered it more recently too. There's a song by the same title from back then by the Boston Crabs, is on a New Rubble comp but haven't heard, may be another........
  15. Looking for a copy of this please, mprobinson at hotmail dot com, thanks!

  17. Looking for a clean copy of this vinylwise please, not too fussy if labels water-damaged, etc, thanks! mprobinson at hotmail dot com
  18. Haha, yes! (blush) Was laughing when came up w/ that one, but as Dazz turned me onto it and was covering it - even though I figured out who it was by myself having good N.O. connections - thought it fair to not uncover, so Dwight Cliffs was born.
  19. After figuring out the Rocks 45 from it being c/u'ed on a cd of Dazz's (thanks Dazz, let's do another soon!) have picked up a couple of copies, it's def not an easy one!
  20. Picked one up in Baltimore last year, 1st seen in a lonnng time!
  21. If the buyer bought it for the instro flip he messed up, that backing track was used on several 45's and there's a far better version by Zuma on Maridene
