Poll: Which 'I hurt on the other side' for you?
Sydney's won it, but with a much reduced majority. Jexit means Jexit, so all copies of Jerry Cook will be sold to fund the Russell Winstanley Home for Retired Soulies.

Poll: Which 'I hurt on the other side' for you?
I have analysed both tracks, and SB clocks in at 138 bpm, whereas JC is a more sprightly 158 bpm. This explains why Jerry gets the job done in 2 mins 44 whilst Sidney takes almost 3 minutes to get the message across. No surprise to anyone that Jerry's version is the faster of the two. In another test, I found that 9 out of 10 cats preferred the Jerry Cook version.... Cat A - Sidney Barnes.... Cat B - Jerry Cook.....

Stax at the Proms
Enjoyed watching it on catch up, although the Jones boy got a bit carried away when he sang over William Bell in the finale.

Sides with a spoken part
Lou Rawls "See You When I Git There" would rate as one of my least favourite talking songs.

Sides with a spoken part
Plenty with spoken intros such as "Too Late" (already mentioned), "Get Out", "That Beatin' Rhythm", "Under Your Powerful Love" and "Home Is Where The Heart Is" to name a few. How about "Cool Off" where the lead talks all the way through, or "Colour Him Father"?

HOW TO FIX AN OFF CENTRE 7" RECORD
Ah, the old Tonelock 2 in 1 Echotone Correction Adapter. You'd have thought they would have come up with a better name for it.

Poll: Which 'I hurt on the other side' for you?
Jerry Cook, much more raw and urgent, he makes the message much more believable. Sidney's vocal is a lot more polished, but doesn't suit the song as much. P.S. I've never really forgiven Sidney for releasing "Standing On Solid Ground".

Show us your great photos (2017)
I do know I'm a soft touch with her Steve. I looked after her shop on Monday and Tuesday while she went out gallivanting. That photo was taken for the Evening News and Star, the Carlisle local rag, and they cropped her two mates off and put Kathryn on the front page with the headline "Here Come The Girls".
