I was at Burscough a few years ago the night Man Oh Man cleared the dancefloor, tumbleweed the lot, so Martin you could be right, however M O M is still in my top ten of all time.

It says it's due for release on 31st May?

Charly Records goes NS again
Thanks Mal, I totally missed that. I've just ordered a copy, the flips not to shabby either.

Charly Records goes NS again
Is the Harold Burrage "Mountain of soul" previously unreleased. It's not something that springs to mind but I think it's great.

Charly Records goes NS again
I think Kev Roberts has played one or two of the unreleased tracks on his Radio show.

The end is nigh.
Well spotted!

What are you going on about, this is the 7th one.

The end is nigh.
I think he's promoting a gig that has Bettye Lavette & Connie Laverne on plus a Q&A with Sidney Barnes. From what I can gather from the poster Charly records is one of the sponsors with 2 compilation albums to promote and she's filling in a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon as one of Charly Records guests. I know in the past if there's been a Spurs football match on then that would have been shown on a big screen instead.

John Manship auction fees.
Mike, I've only ever dealt with Anglo American and if something was sold for £1000 you would get £850.

John Manship auction fees.
Manship is 20% off the winning bid, Anglo American is 15% off

C & W meets Northern Soul!
I'd have said nearer to Dixon of Dock Green than Starsky & Hutch

C & W meets Northern Soul!
Do you think the human pyramid will be making a comeback anytime soon. I hope so cos that would be awesome.

C & W meets Northern Soul!
Rob, did you never pop into the modern room at Prestwich whenever The Sunburst Band "Everyday" was played. I haven't seen the Blackpool footage, but I would imagine a similar dance routine to the Prestwich one, but on a much grander scale. I don't think anyone made a big fuss about it at the time.

X FILES
Would I be correct in thinking Willie Tee's "Take your time" track from the I'm only a man LP is also on a single. Not the Gatur boot but a proper 7"

Carl Dene
A bit vague that Rob 😂

Movies and Tv
I'm a fan of the Traitors series, I've enjoyed both UK series, US , New Zealand and the Australian series 1 and I've just finished series 2 on BBC I Player. Wow this second series will take some beating. Rodger the host is brilliant, for me the best host of them all. The contestants were really stupid on this one. I've never shouted NO NO you stupid so & so as much as I did at this lot. Top telly.

CULCHETH TWO ROOM SOUL NIGHT
You're right Si, you're namesake Eddie Foster and his big tune on IN records at the time prompted me to buy it blind. Since then I've bought loads deaf.🫢 I've let Robbo have my deaf purchases.😂

CULCHETH TWO ROOM SOUL NIGHT
I think Bernard still has his copy and he'll be at Culcheth for this one. He likes a drink so you'll have to work on him a bit. 6 pints should do it😁

CULCHETH TWO ROOM SOUL NIGHT
As well as Soul Brothers Inc, Deane Coni club was the first place I heard Ralph Graham played as well, I know quite a few of us bought a copy of it there.

CULCHETH TWO ROOM SOUL NIGHT
After returning from one of his US trips, I remember Alex playing this at a midweek soul night at Deane Conservative Club, Bolton. Because he didn't have time to cover it up properly, he strategically placed bits of beer mat over the label. I'm pretty sure he was the first to ever play this?

ASHTON UKRAINIAN CLUB
Yes Soulie was a brilliant dancer, he also had the biggest DJ box ever. It must have held 1,000 records. It was the same size as a wardrobe🤣😜 I'm sure he had a change of clothes in there as well.😃 I'll try and find that documentary it sounds interesting.
