Winfield Parker – My Love For You/I Wanna Be With You
Does seem to be a common Discogs trend. One seller sets the bar at a ridiculous off the scale price and the sheep follow with lower tariffs that are still double what the real price should be. Result is lots of unsold records.

Reissued on a 12’ from Disco International with Spanish Maiden on the other side. No idea on date, but think I first saw sometime in the mid 80s.

Agree it’s nuts. Couple of quid in the early 90s and lots of them about.

Thought the very same!

DON'T SAY NO - Midtempo soul from 70's & 80's

Terry Callier
Think Acid Jazz rediscovered him. I saw him first at Caister in the early 90s. Amazing and very understated. Saw him many times again including one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to at the Union Chapel.

Totally agree. Love Big Frank. Real stand out tune. Always thought Blue Rock issue was rarer than Phillips.

Tony Middleton video interview
Agreed. Always thought he’s in the same groove as the likes of Lou Rawls

Interesting development of the scene?
Not for me. Be a waste of precious listening time to go to a gig to hear covers of 9 times out of 10, Out on the floor, What etc

Crazy price for Jay D. Martin, but didn't JM get even more for it last time he auctioned it? Might be wrong, but think it went for over £1300.

RE The Rotations - (Put A Dime On) D9
I sold my VG+ demo on here for £475 in late 2015. Suspect you're looking at at least double that now.

PRESTON CITY SOUL
First time out for me at this great venue. Brilliant mix of tunes kept the floor busy to the very end. Can’t think of many nights where you can hear Fat Larry’s Center City followed by Chuck Cockerham and Gene Toones. Fantastic records from start to finish ranging from the horrendously rare to new releases including the already in demand Jon Allen and one I didn’t know, but promptly bought by Phillip Ballou ‘We’ll be together’. Certainly be making many return visits!
