Some great LPs out there and usually at a fraction of the cost of 45s. Currently love listening to Jimmy James's "The New Religion" LP and in particular his take on "The Entertainer" and the truly awesome "Ain't no big thing" .

Still got a load of lists from those halcyon days of the early 80s. Soul Bowl and Pat Brady's list were the ones that I always got. Anyone remember the Soul Stop Records list? Always had King Tutt for a tenner and Billy Hambric (Drum) for seven quid!

Massive Loss
Saw him at the Bridgewater Hall only last week. In all fairness he looked very frail and didn't have anything like the energy and verve of Jack Ashford. Don't suppose he was particularly young...70 something..Can anyone confirm? Very sad..Think I'll play a few of the great Pied Piper classics he played such a part in putting together
