  3. Good point ,Steve, but looking at it from another angle, the Danny Moore disc...,if ever a record had fallen from grace(in monetary terms)that’s got to be one of the biggest!!!’
  4. Back in September 1991,Pete Smith championed a UK Soul Special, covering all aspects of UK Northern and Motown releases, including a top twenty US listing from Tim Brown at Anglo American...about eight pages in all....

Spyder Turner records have always been popular on the NS scene, especially “I can’t make it any more” and “you’re good enough for me”(the other side of this one)but on “stand by me”he superbly impersonates other great vocalists inc.Robinson,Stewart,Ruffin and Chuck....
  12. I understand you have one of these Len....and that you are thinking of pruning your collection to make way for that family holiday............
  13. ...HaHaHa...you’ve just answered the next question...cheers...
  14. Great looking lable,I see Marty has a hand in most(if not all)of the production..,
  15. Different to the one above?
  16. I really think that is the difference Chalky....hearing it “out” and listening to it “in”,are polar opposites....give us your three openers then Chalky.......
  17. Wonder what 134 is???...
  18. Well said Frankie....collectively the three records that EddieFoster chose are superb(CODS”she’s fire” after MS?..HaHa..)but it’s JR that really does it me....
  19. Hello Eric ”I Can’t Do Without You” by Marty Lewis, was released twice on BIG DEAL,135 and 136 both with different flip sides....my copy(136)has the funky “Ain’t Nobody’s Business”on t’uther side..
  20. The Mello Souls disc is way over rated, for me that is....but the Johnny Rodgers is an absolute corker...always loved that one....what’s going rate for it these days...?
  21. ...the punters wouldn’t know if they were coming or going..😂..
  22. HaHaHa...Hey,I bought it for the “Icsi”side...and found “I need you”on t’uther....yipeee...
  23. HA HA BRILLIANT....... ...yes,I would have thought it a bit risky too...lovely record tho... id have thought the other side would have been more of an all nighter spin “I Can’t Stand It”
  24. Great choice with The Sophistcates Len...always loved that one....
  25. ...and I think it was “Looking For You” (version of G Mimms),on the flip...,
