i find this so hard to believe, they were trying to sell records. just because these albums seem really rare today dosnt mean they wernt pressed in quantity, i can remember in a record shop not a big record shop but a crap small record shop, so many martin luther king l.ps in a 10 pence sale, rows of them probibly something like this figure you are quoting in one small shop, woollies in town too had all todays obscure titles in dump bins for 50 pence tons and tons of them we used to go in from school and nick them, they were all pressed in quantity, who knows what happened to them because they were all dumped this way they were probibly bought by the wrong people and not loved ending up trashed? but to think motown pressed only 200 of any title is just nuts

definately, that has to be the maddest week of my life! loads piled down there and everyone signed on and amazingly they paid us a weeks dole then we signd off which in turn we handed it over to the landlady i really didnt think there was any organising going on we just saw an ad in black music that said such and such a week was northern soul music in torquay and we said thatll do for our summer holidays! can remember connie clarke and the zoo had just boke at the mecca and they were massive that week off acetates, great weather and great times

i came across an acetate the other day on the label its got a release date of 3/1 75 so top of the pops probibly was in that january, any way something struck me about the sleeve of this acetate something id not really noticed before, which leads me on to a little quiz how many different footsee u.k sleeves were there in the u.k and in 'what order were they released' [the sleeve i have will probibly reveal the true order ] but can you guess?? you never know that copy you bought from steve glover in oasis could be a first issue!!!!

THAT DFINITELY 'IS' TOTP the dancers were fimed that close ,also the group wouldnt have been required on 3 or 4 occasions as the charts wernt revealed till tuesday miday and record companies didnt get the final call till wed morning,though jethro and the gang probibly had an idea they may go on if footsee didnt drop and pye got the green light. its been said earlier maybee this may have been a rehersal but thats unlikely too one reason is that probibly been ereased with the complete show other reason is they probibly didnt have much time if any to reherse because there was a row going on at TOTP they wanted pans people dave macleer wanted his dancers [thats a fact] they probibly never got the go ahead till quite late in the day

you will have to slide neils inferno release 7" and 12" above the champagne release, i can think of at least six u.k releases [including arista] but inferno was the first 7" and that also makes it the first 12" release 'anywhere' [of the studio version]
