Does this poster look suspect?
I would say it was real, Saturday March 3rd would make it 1973, Plastic Man was released Jan 73 for the Real Thing and they were doing the rounds promoting that here and in Europe at that time as chalky said the number 1's may have referred to something else, this flyer just looks rushed e.g number 1 spinner is wrong too they would have normally said spinners or king spinners, I thing simply rushed or errors by printer, colour looks correct, the Torch was in trouble it was almost over I'd even guess that was the last ever flyer....

Unlikely record finds...
was walking in a street in St Helier Jersey and walked past some bins out of the corner of my eye I saw half a dozen records in a pile on the top of one, the top record was a mint u.k demo copy of Jimmy Holliday & Clydie King-Ready Willing & Able

Worst /Best rhyme in soul?
I have a real problem with Diana Ross Upside Down.......'Respectfully I say to thee' I cringe, lazy songwriting unless it was written in the 18th century...

EARTH WIND & FIRE - HAPPY FEELIN' U.S PROMO 7
It was no surprise that a record like this was played at Blackpool Mecca in 1975 and it recieved more than a few plays there and as Rick Scott at Cleethorpes and everywhere it was a very big record, it didn't slip back into obscurity because it never came from obscurity, it was a fantastic album from a fantastic band, those that got into this instantly shot down and got tickets for the tour that came with the album and witnessed something really special something like you had never seen before, the rest saw them in 79

Record shops in Madeira?
There's nothing in Madeira, I have spent a lot of my life there and all I have ever found is a copy of The Formations at the top of the stairs and the l.p Beacon brings it to you, and that was 1987.....

I was just wondering how many copies of Frank Wilsons Do I love you were pressed for record store day in 2015?. I ask simply because I have seen in the last few weeks people bidding 50 and 60 quid for that Soul bootleg copy which is nuts when I guess this would be the nearest thing to an original Soul copy so why not buy this instead unless theres millions which is why I ask. heres the one I mean.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FRANK-WILSON-CHRIS-CLARK-DO-I-LOVE-YOU-INDEED-I-DO-MOTOWN-MINT-RSD-/262854553391?hash=item3d335a2f2f:g:U-UAAOSwOgdYpJoR- Graham Warr Record Shop In Oasis Shop In Brum
