  1. Thought I'd have my little imput, I've read a lot of negative comments and of course everyone has an opinion, but the narrative of too old to dance, too old to enjoy, venues are all rubbish....how about finding the right venues, putting your pipe and slippers away and having a dance and some fun, roll on Bridlington.
  2. This๐Ÿ‘
  3. Firstly sorry about your wife, as someone who has plenty of records but few originals the nights where I hear ovo are as important to me as my team wearing blue. Different horses and all that but ovo is very important to me and many others. Good luck and brave to open that can of worms.
  4. Not agro, this forum often has frank exchanges, I think at something like a weekender it's fine to have it in a separate room, it certainly beats listening to the 6th playing of some overplayed top 500 spin.
  5. I do see younger people in fairness and they seem to embrace the scene. I would also agree that for some it's a safe place to socialise. We can't turn the clock back but we have a duty to try and protect what's left for ourselves and the hopefully next generation.
  6. Couldn't care less what people think about my dancing, when your in that moment you are the best out there.
  7. Nailed it right there. I would only add just old and grumpy 90% of the time. The other 10% were just old.
  8. Ktf more like wtf
  9. Northern my first love but ska and reggae in another room is fine especially weekenders.
  10. Blimey you make Leicester sound like South Central la. We're very friendly really ๐Ÿ˜
  11. If your going the corner pin lucky you, we had a fabulous afternoon there, hearing some wonderful stuff.
  12. Opinions of that record will unite everyone. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. The fact we have found another subject to fall out over is very refreshing ๐Ÿ˜Œ forums are for opinions ๐Ÿ‘Œ.
  14. The last thing my wife would want is me dancing with her at a soul do, it's your world out on the floor, just my take on it.
  15. The right record and it would be.
  16. Absolutely agree , it's a fine record that has been overplayed and became a weird hate figure. Lots of worse stuff out there but that's a different topic.
  17. He's a business man making money, he has no interest beyond the money ๐Ÿ’ฐ but that's his perogative . Hope he doesn't drop it.๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. I find the filming of dancing at events to be totally wrong. Regard my nights and days out as my release and think of the filming as annoying. Regarding the main point of the topic world northern soul dance champion is best left in the distant past.
  19. Not my cup of tea but the guys a mover๐Ÿ‘
  20. Having witnessed the event,I can truly say best leave these kinds of things to our memories.
  21. I will now retire gracefully from this topic because I use the events section regularly ๐Ÿ˜‚ have fun. Bye
