Im wondering whether this might be a good thing. We all know that guys buy off Ebay to re-sell so if its a cheaper end item and it gets passed by, those who actually want the 45 may have a better chance of getting it. ROD

I did notice that and also concluded that this is same copy that was offered to Shaunfitz yesterday. Its little wonder that sometimes people dont respond to offers, although in this case Shaun obv did for the seller to post it up today. Of course up to seller to set his price. ROD

Last lot of wants I posted were IMO pretty common cheapish 45s. I got one [thank you Kegsy] but nowt on the rest apart from another offered at twice the value which I declined. I think it would be rather illuminating to post a want and then publish the prices that people asked. ROD

Deep breath. Relax. Again. Im afraid there's nowt I can do about it. I cannot alter behaviour. You can however leave feedback along lines of "Answered post and got no reply". After a suitable interval obviously. Lets say they are weighing up options from offers. 7 days and no reply leave a negative. I think Sebastian dark brown may be more apt but as I said I was diagnosed as colour blind. I've been holding label against black items in my flat and it doesn't appear to match. However I have noticed that on your scan of boot and my boot here if you look at darker part of label the lines are not as well defined and esp third line from right which has a break in it. Shows that on your boot scan and my boot so I guess its same for all. If you look at original lines are continuous. ROD

My expeience of ATB events in the NW Nev is that its a mixture of the very popular [if dj's have them] records across the genres. So not too many different 45s and less emphasis on newies which is down to availibility. ROD

I noticed this had gone recently for £1250 on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.u...cvip=true&rt=nc Thought I'd put this up for offers £1000 ONO. I'd say from description on Ebay this is a better copy. VG+ with some marks on vinyl BUT no scratches. I will take first offer I like and am quite happy to send it upfront within UK so that prospective buyer can see it before parting with their cash. Actually Steve it was my mate who bought it. He's just dumped it here along with his record collection. He got it from a mutual mate and all three of us kinda concur it could be the boot. Im not sure what green/black copies are. This looks brown to me but then I did fail some kinda green/red test at school after which I think they said I was colour blind. Im not sure about that either. I can tell the difference between a strawberry and a lawn ! I dont know if when 45s were put out in Stereo it said that on actual label as well as runout groove. I do have odd 45 that says Stereo on label [like Patti Austin "....Word" and Billups on Helpp] but have no idea if that means most 45s were done in mono. What I mean if Stereo in grooves,how come it doesn't say that on label as well. Boba may know more about that kinda thing. Unfortunately topic is locked now so you cant reply unless Billy unlocks. Yes Steve,it seems to be green/brown. Label credit layout appears to be same. As Pikey said a very good facsimilie but no STEREO and no AR. ROD

Steve, dont throw it just yet. My mate thinks its a boot. I kinda think its a boot. We could be wrong. Wait till someone more in the know confirms or otherwise. ROD

I've got a boot here that my mate dumped. Molded label. Vinyl. As Pikey says good quality label. Run out groove has LBM 101 ARS scratched in. Pretty sure boots were done around time mid 70's. ROD

Aren't there lookalike boots of this that Billy may need to be aware of. ROD

Magnum, From what I gather unless a WDJ both boot and original have red labels hard to tell apart. Original has "Ultrasonic" stamp I believe. Guys on here are asking if an original. Your answer is not that clear. If anyone has clearer details might be an ideas to let Magnum know ROD [Forum Moderator]
