  1. Barry I see it. Stop messing a mo and I'll see what i can do. ROD
  2. I don't usually get too involved with the modern side of things but there seems to be some confusion here regarding Timothy Wilson. 100% sure that Richard was playing both tracks at Wigan although "Keep it up" probably featured more. That was '79 definitely cos in September of that year I picked up copies of the LP along with Bobby Thurston, Dysons Faces in a warehouse in Washington. I knew then it was wanted for both tracks. I got good money for it then so hard to believe Arthur was selling for £4 later. Unless of course he found multiples. ROD
  3. Benji, What exactly is the "crusade" Carlos is on. What's it all about? ROD
  4. I am now closing this thread as I dont want it to develop into a discussion on John Manship 's approach to record selling. Mal, you are entitled to your opinion which is why I suggested you [or Flanny] open a topic elsewhere. Just not on this sales thread. Gene, I find your reaction somewhat OTT. This IMO is not cyber-bullying but Mal making a point albeit badly. I figured at first that Mal had his tongue in his cheek and must admit am a little surprised at his response to me. I can't see anything particularly contraversial in Mal's comment as I have read similar on here numerous times when reactions to John's auction lists are posted or in responses to wants where someone links to John's site. Let's not pretend that John's prices are not a regular talking point. If anyone has any concerns then please PM me. ROD [forum moderator]
  5. This is a sales list. If you want to discuss prices and dealers please open a topic in AATS. ROD [forum moderator]
  6. I am closing this topic as the seller has kindly agreed to refund the buyer. ROD [forum moderator]
  7. I have moved this to the Ebay section. I downloaded the file and it appears to be a picture of a record shop. Im sure there are those out there who like to spend their time looking at pictures of record shops in the Detroit area but all things considered a link to your actual Ebay sales would perhaps have been more useful. Here is a link to your Ebay sales https://www.ebay.com/...sid=p4340.l2562 ROD [forum moderator]
  8. I certainly WOULD NOT keep the deposit. I'll PM you Tony. ROD [forum moderator]
  9. Giulio, I dont think anybody should be named and shamed based on a "feeling". You need proof of irregular dealing. Fact is that packages do go missing. I sent £300 worth last year to a member on here in Belgium. It never got there but I sent it Int Signed For and fully insured so was able to claim back from Royal Mail without too much trouble. ROD
  10. I'd be intertested to know why the big difference in grading here? As you say it was "noisy" can I assume it looked M- but played badly? Maybe you should PM me and give me the seller's name so I can have a look at this. However waiting 7 weeks to return it as weakened your case somewhat. ROD [forum moderator]
  11. Bob is sorted. Closed topic rather than posts "bumping" it to top of Wants page. ROD [forum moderator]
  12. As I see Bearsy has a list stating both price and condition I see no need to continue this discussion so Im locking this ad. I would say that stating price and condition in a sales ad would be the better option than having to answer numerous PMs. ROD [forum moderator]
  13. Closing this thread to avoid "bumping" posts and Tony is listing the 45s for sale elsewhere in this section. ROD [forum moderator]
  14. Originally wasn't it Rod S. who bought the first copy of each of the Kellmac's to the scene? When would that have been? 79-82 period ? No, they were Richard's. Combinations was massive as Chessmen c/u at Wigan. CODs he didn't really play much. Too fast? Dave and I probably played it at Stafford more than it got spun at Wigan. Sold CODs to Tim to get me out of a hole in 2000. Combinations to Carl Fortnum few years back. I didn't miss them until this bloody thread. ROD
  15. Added a few more titles for trade/sale. Mostly reggae. ROD
  16. There's nothing like a pair of Great Tits in the garden. If you hold out a couple of nuts they'll often nestle in your hands Be careful stroking them as they're easily alarmed and tend to stiffen. ROD
  17. Think we need to get back to the theme of this thread please. ROD [forum moderator]
  18. I may have to step in here again before this subject becomes too inflammatory. I have a dim recollection that this was actually covered in a September 1964 Blue Peter where I think sticky-backed plastic was suggested as an alternative to glue. ROD [forum moderatort]
  19. I may have to close this if members dont stick to the topic and adhere to site rules. It is a perfectly legitimate enquiry and not to be sniffed at. Thank you ROD [forum moderator]
  20. I just won a 45 on Ebay so I've got my recordhead on and am playing a few. Pulled this out. Real cheap. Loads of copies but brill IMO and reminds me when the Mecca had the balance just right.
  21. Please see last post here:- Hopefully his removal from the site will prevent any further problems but members should be aware of this. If there are any members reading this who have NOT received a refund due from HJ or have paid for records that have not arrived please contact me by PM. Thank you ROD [sales forum moderator]
  22. Excellent post Richard. And may I add hang it in Tate Modern perhaps in an elephant dung frame titled "Distubia" and auction a month later at Sotheby's. I feel a holiday and a new car coming on. ROD
  23. mrtag, And what luck, I've just found a spare copy in the garage/attic and as Im moving house and need to sell 12 records to make room Im thinking of selling this. May hang on a little while until my mate comes on here with his independent valuation. ROD
  24. I think based on it's rarity and the extreme difficulty in obtaining Mintish copies it should be around £2000 when compared to similar 45s ROD Wait, the wife says we will need car hire on holiday too so make that £2500.
