GENERAL SOUL/DISCO/NORTHERN 45s Starting at 50p to £15
Vast majority of the 45s on offer are VG+ so can have odd marks and sometimes minimal noise during intro. However they are not trashed copies and nice condition. Anyone not happy with condition can return with no problem [see my sales feedback]. Hopefully cheap enough for their overall condition. Expensive bootlegs - Is this the future ?
For some reason the local fair that visited Hazel Grove had booths with lots of Verve 45s stuck up as decoration I guess ? Around 68/69. I'm with you on the boots. Worthless but I can understand a boot back in 70's being 85p or so and now £5 due to inflation ?

Chubby Checker - You Just Don't Know original releases?
I bet he's confused. He's at the right age. Never heard of it and if it did perhaps re-issue same time as in Spain. I'd bet the wife on it so I can't lose either way.

MFSL Audiophile LPs - Why more expensive than originals?
I use a Klingon plasma deck with titanium warpcell bolts utilising phase induction speakers. Fantastic sound reproduction but I lost my copy of the Servicemen last week when it got sucked into a wormhole.

Passing of Manchester’s Alan Jackson
Thanks Siz. Very sad news. Didn't know him that well but remember him from "Blue Rooms" and other venues.

JMAuction - 04/05/2022 - Results!
Never found a copy in USA but did have a copy I bought over here in 70's. I think it was about £12 at the time and moved it on for double maybe.

ROSE WOODS - I TRUST YOU - O.D.RECORDS - Value ?
It says there's one born every minute. It's a boot. I used to deal with a couple of dj's on beach scene and they often booted UK 45s I'd sent them because they got popular and weren't readily available. As to value you do have a point if it has gone for that kinda money. If I were Swifty I guess I'd shove it on Discogs as it sold on there previously. Say £150 [bargain !] with the option to make an offer. I see you've mastered the art of British polite understatement.

Anglo American Auction Results
I'm in exactly the same position as you except my reaction is "FFS" whenever I see something in my collection going for what I consider to be a lot of money. Just tells me similar 45s are now out of my price range. I've given up buying apart from the odd previously unreleased item I like. And whilst I assume bids on JM or any other auction are honoured I see a lot of IMO overpriced set sale 45s going round and round.

ARE YOU ANGRY…versions?
Sonics is earliest cut.

Soul tracks ahead of their time...
Referring to "What's going on" which came out in 1971 I think, I've always thought this Jimmy Thomas track from 1969 has a very similar musical feel.

JMAuction - 26/01/2022 - Results!
Yes awful. Came out in UK so I came across it at the time as bit of a British collectors thing though never heard it played out. Hard to get I guess though a copy on Discogs now in VG+ for £15.

I'm not keen either. Sounds like funk/rock to me and reminds me of Dianne Davidson.

Rarest Stock Copy
I know what you mean. When I'm fishing I don't know if I'm going to pull out the equivalent of a Magnetics on Bonnie or a Pye copy of Footsee, though usually the latter ! I have stock Appreciations so we can dismiss that from the list. I think for something on regular issue to be rare and worth noticing there has to be a lot of promo copies around. And vice versa. I reckon yellow demos of "I'm the one to do it" and "Hope we have" are instances of uncommon formats considering the vast amount of issues.

Two of you ! There is help available. Crisis Action for Spotters Habits does sterling work. If you wish to make a donation a cheque made out to C.A.S.H. and sent to me will go a long way to removing this scourge from our society.

Rarest Stock Copy
Just like to point out here that contrary to the impression given that this get-together was a meeting of like-minded chinstrokers, it was in fact a meeting of the support group to help Geoff with his addiction to trainspotting. Lately it's got much worse culminating in his poor wife finding the 9.15 am train from Clitheroe to Blackburn hidden under Geoff's bed. He's gone off the rails and just trying to get him back on track.

Help on a 45?
- Rarest Stock Copy
I'm not so sure you should be arranging a chinstrokers convention round my house. Last time you all buggered off and left me to wash and tidy up.- Poll: Version Battle - Way Over There
Later cut with strings is other side of "If your mother only knew" Actually ignore that. I always assumed 54028 had no strings but clip here has strings. Bob Klein will know.- Poll: Version Battle - Way Over There
I think there's two cuts of Miracles track that were issued. - Rarest Stock Copy
