  6. yestheres 5 years between the recordings, volcano`s end of 1964 and the ambassadors came out at the tail end of 1969 dave
  7. hi harry the white demo does exist. i had one thruout the 90s and then sold it to little john ullah who sadly is no longer with us. its white with black writing and he gave me £125 for it. in retrospect, thats was a lot of money for it. but its a rare piece IMVHO.the issue is more readily available.ive had 2 in the last 3 years. both came from the USA and were only $35 each. I kept 1 and sold one to mick waddington (soulful mick on here) for £40. I rate the issue at £75. I dont think its a common record tho dave

I thought maybe a little more than that say between 4-500 quid cheaper on ebay possibly. it was £500 10 years ago and maybe a little out of fashion just now but its still a rare record dave
  9. what im saying is that 1 hes been very cagey and 2 no one knows the facts except mr spivens him or herself. time will tell. yes i do have a vested interest in the 45 and dont want to lose money cos im a pauper dave

just magic malc. but to be honest i love guess who`s original version as well dave
  11. dont forget this record has been around a long time and im not disputing the quality of it. it just shades the arcades for me. only 4 on ebay that popsike has picked up but popsike dont pick everything up. all the top dealers have auctioned a copy in recent years since auctioning rare records became the norm. but what about all the years b4 that. ive seen at least 10 copies meself and i dont see bugger all compared to some. think i may have been a bit extreme with 100. but 10. your having a laugh I still think i made a good move keeping the fascinators. every body i talked to said i was insane if i went ahead with the deal dave
  12. and me......... ive already said my peice on page 1 and im dave p dp
  13. and the one m spivens has up is already over 700usd with still 6 days to go dave
  14. revilot1957 m spivens is the guy in detroit who has found some copies. its the third one he`s put on ebay although some guys have had second chance offers. the mafia guy is a one off up to now. lets not bandy the words "container load" about just yet. could be harmful to what is still a great record. lets see what happens eh remember a few dealers were selling the clara hardy 45 dave
  15. the talkin loud double pack came out in about 2001 didnt it .i remember playing all the mixes and thought they were all poor, although the housey garage folk might have thought them appealling. original only version for my money dave
  16. i would have thought there must be 100+ in collections up and down the country altho it must be a four figure record by now. I nearly swopped a fascinators on bombay for it some years ago but got cold feet at the last minute. nearest i came to owning one. at least i still have the fascinators dave
  17. Dave Pinch replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box

  21. hope it was a bit cheaper than the two gemm copies mart dave
  22. where does "the original drifters" "just let your heart be your guide" fit in. issued in 1978 on red sounds south. looks the same as the tams. who are they is there a yellow copy dave
  23. how much is the 12". its all i got it on and to think four of those luvly 7s are within a 5 mile radious of me. i remember benson tellin me he`d got one but he never said where from dave
  24. if it got booted on yellow boss it must be very rare coz i aint ever seen it. usually reversed labels but some labels the right way round ive even had a proper labeled copy with a demo stamp and a date on it. wish i`d kept it. wrote mi name in the run out on the flip wonder who has it now dave
