  1. For me Duke Browner - Crying over you, snapped in two, sold on Soul Source for £30.00. I do hope buyer was able to make some playable record from it. /forums/topic/322041-duke-browner-crying-over-original-£3000-read-on/#comment-2144299
  2. Original US please. Thanks
  3. Oh yeah have a publicity poster for Chris Bartleys album where he's gazing into the eyes of Sandi Sheldon, signed by both. Will tray and dig t out.
  4. I've seen the rise start from about Feb/March onward. There used to be a time when buying in July and for sure August you could get a bargain, those days seem to have vanished. I tracked about 30 records on Ebay last night, they went for "silly" money, looks like we're back to 2006 pricing if not more, must be a younger audience rather than old soulies. Hope it stays, got 2 big batches to sell later in the year
  5. An Ebay seller told me he'd listed a Sam Fletcher at £100.00 and only got one bid, he saw it sell a month later for £280.00, that seller started at £19.99.
  6. To be honest I can't remember when I last saw one for sale 7 or 8 years ago maybe ? I think it went for about £400-ish.
  7. If you're selling on Ebay do you take a risk and ask a low starting price and calculate it will reach it's expected value at the end of the auction or do you start with a high price just in case it doesn't ?
  8. That's quite a toughie, don't see many for sale, somewhere £500 - 600 ?
  9. They've been creeping up in price for about the last 5 or 6 years, but £1550.00 after a few hours of listing, brrrr.....bonkers..........
  10. OMG !! My, my that's a lot of money for that record......................
  11. Bobby Sheen's autograph, maybe the last one he ever did, he died a few weeks afterwards, have a few letters from Chris Bartley & Sandi Sheldon. Probably rarest is Spirit Terrell from the Vel-vets (she also gave me a hickey )
  12. Great stuff they really were quite unique places (Torch & Cats)
  13. "Lonely, lonely girl am I" - Velvelettes, lesser known "I've got to find it" - Brenda Hollaway.
  14. The Falcons goes from anything from £175 - 225 depending on condition, there are some people who ask more but you can get one for under £200.00
  15. Looking for Earl Jackson - Soul self satisfaction Earl Wright - Thumb a ride US originals only. Thanks
  16. Good luck, I think I have a spare on Swan.

Well good luck anyway, those prices were based on the red/yellow swirl issues, the black ones about 25% lower.
  18. It's a great record sits in me "play-a-lot" box :-)

I've sold a few of these the last few months, based on EX and no major flaws on label reckon on £45 - 50 Dee Dee Sharp, £55 - 65 Showmen & about £25.00 for Gene Chandler, they're all out there for sale, be patient you'll get them, good luck.
  20. Very, very sad news. I knew he'd had health problems but he never talked much about it. A veritable genius and a smashing bloke.I wrote a small article on him some years ago for the fanzine Soul Up North. RIP Arthur
  21. I stand corrected, I did a quick check and it looks like Donald has sold about 4 or 5 (or has for sale) last week. Just found that thread where I say "disputable" it's called "Dodgy Dealings?" started by Pete Smith. Here's link : /forums/topic/299530-dodgy-dealings/#comment-2001569 What I should have said and meant to, was "not disputable" then the sentence makes sense. Perhaps you could tell me where I "had a go at him", whatever that means.
  22. Can anyone put a likely date on this poster ?
  23. That seller has a whole box full, he's been selling them for years in dribs & drabs, he also used to have a gaggle of James Barnetts, don't see him selling those anymore though.
