Most expensive record ever broken?
For me Duke Browner - Crying over you, snapped in two, sold on Soul Source for £30.00. I do hope buyer was able to make some playable record from it. /forums/topic/322041-duke-browner-crying-over-original-£3000-read-on/#comment-2144299

The Cost of Soul 45s?
I've seen the rise start from about Feb/March onward. There used to be a time when buying in July and for sure August you could get a bargain, those days seem to have vanished. I tracked about 30 records on Ebay last night, they went for "silly" money, looks like we're back to 2006 pricing if not more, must be a younger audience rather than old soulies. Hope it stays, got 2 big batches to sell later in the year

Ebay selling - start price high or low ?
An Ebay seller told me he'd listed a Sam Fletcher at £100.00 and only got one bid, he saw it sell a month later for £280.00, that seller started at £19.99.

The Magnetics
To be honest I can't remember when I last saw one for sale 7 or 8 years ago maybe ? I think it went for about £400-ish.

Ebay selling - start price high or low ?
If you're selling on Ebay do you take a risk and ask a low starting price and calculate it will reach it's expected value at the end of the auction or do you start with a high price just in case it doesn't ?

The Magnetics

Very, very sad news. I knew he'd had health problems but he never talked much about it. A veritable genius and a smashing bloke.I wrote a small article on him some years ago for the fanzine Soul Up North. RIP Arthur- ART FREEMAN SLIPPIN' AROUND
I stand corrected, I did a quick check and it looks like Donald has sold about 4 or 5 (or has for sale) last week. Just found that thread where I say "disputable" it's called "Dodgy Dealings?" started by Pete Smith. Here's link : /forums/topic/299530-dodgy-dealings/#comment-2001569 What I should have said and meant to, was "not disputable" then the sentence makes sense. Perhaps you could tell me where I "had a go at him", whatever that means.- Another Classic Poster
Can anyone put a likely date on this poster ?- ART FREEMAN SLIPPIN' AROUND
That seller has a whole box full, he's been selling them for years in dribs & drabs, he also used to have a gaggle of James Barnetts, don't see him selling those anymore though. - Comedy Sale Of The Day
