Pitching up records, opinions and history
Lol , maybe due to years of very loud music and industrial noise , I have now been diagnosed 80% deaf in one ear and 50% in the other , will have to wear my earing aids and give it another listen , but your right regarding the Implements version , will have to start saving for a copy

Pitching up records, opinions and history
I think the Ojays , Look Over Your Shoulder , definitely pitched up at least + 3 sounds like a floor filler

Dazed - Northern soul scenes are thriving despite the...
It may sound callous, but for the sake of the scene and going forwards 2 room venues 1 on the ground floor, accessible to all , and 1 on the 2nd floor only accessible for those who can get up there without assistance, and djs rotating , if they can get up there too . How else are our loved ones going to offload our collections , when we've all passed if there isn't a demand ? . Great to see young folk enjoying the music , and not being fed the shite we had to endure circa 75/76 at the WC , I pray that the London Philharmonic don't open up with " Lost Summer Love " ( maybe a little later) but you get my meaning . Good morning,( rant over ) everyone .

Northern Soul At The BBC Proms 2023
If they follow what was played early days before the commercial side of things at the Casino , be nice to hear "Exus Trek" or " Breakaway " even "You Didn't Say A Word " but some how I doubt it . Maybe we should contact the director with a listeners top 10 requests .

These academics will always go on about the political side of things , but to be honest for most of us it was following your peers , and walking off the dance floor at the local youth clubs when the Bay City Rollers or Gary Glitter was played , didn't give a shit about politics not at the age of 15 , back in 1972 .

Tim Fletcher R.I.P
Very sad news , we had some great times travelling around and about to most of the venues from 88 to 2004 , did many a soul night / alldayer in Coventry , Hope & Anchor , Hare & Squirrel,TicToc, Bug & Black Bat , Tha General Wolf , and many more , when I gave up the DJing I gave him the Twin decks we used to use, which I'd bought off a mate of his Howard , (Tim didn't have the cash when Howard was selling up) I hope he pissed his neighbours off using them up on the seventh floor of Samuel Vale House , because I know they pissed him off ! Rip mate , sleep well

People who can't resist from being sarcastic
The Lowest Form Of Wit , by Leonard Rossiter a very good read circa 1981 , who played Rigsby in the comedy classic Rising Damp , also I believe wrote speeches for the Prime Minister Harold Wilson , when he was in Parliament . Sarcasm does have its humorous uses , worth a read .

Movies and Tv
Can anyone remember the James Cann Classic , Violent Streets aka The Thief , great is understated. Story about a Jewelry Thief , great cast , great soundtrack pretty sure Mighty Joe Young in a blues band club scene , from about 1981 I think but still worth searching for , Classic !

Not sure if mentioned on here before , but on the BBC iPlayer saw Clint Eastwood's " The Mule " , story about the oldest drug Mule in America , the other night , with " More Today Than Yesterday" in the soundtrack , would recommend it if you haven't seen it already .
