  1. I've been quite surprised at to some of the tunes up for auction recently. Tunes that I generally would have thought were set sale items rather than auction items. But if they're being sold on behalf of other people, so be it. I hope the premium recieved for being on this auction outways the sale fee paid.
  2. Surely they're about £150 and £200?
  3. I'll Get Off At The Next Stop is one of my all time faves... I loved it from the first time Bob Jones played it on the Radio. I bought it for "Next Stop" and had it for a couple of years and never flipped it over, silly me cos Sad Girl was on the other side. Since then I've always listened to both sides. I posted "Next Stop" in Refosoul a while ago.
  4. Cheers chaps. It was Bobs comments on the Robert Dobyne flip on the other thread that got me thinking about my missing numbers. Definately my faves are Terry Collins and Robert Dobyne. Steve, It'll be great if you post up a scan of the issue. Baz, Pat posted up Robert Dobyne in the sweet & deep thread. Cheers, John
  5. Is there one out there? Cheers, John
  6. Its one of those bad disco records you'd expect to hear on a program like The Love Boat or any of the other Aaron Spelling programms around the mid to late 70's. Saying that I think it's a great dancer, but sadly is quite a good example showing that not everything "Northern" is soul.
  7. A top, top tune. Slightly aside and apologies for jumping in but, does anyone know if an issue exists? If so I'd love to see a scan.
  8. It's one of my faves.. Would have though that 30 quid was a ball park price for the reissue. Originals have been going between £80-100. IMO the 12" is better as the 7" cuts off the great dancy break halfway through.
  9. I thought it was about £800? The flip Thank You Girl, IMO is pure magic....
  10. I've always liked No Love In The Room on Arista, but generally a bit too MOR for me.
  11. Gav this one should work https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZgonerrecords
  12. I think its got a great flip, that needs more attention. Bob Jones used to play Whatcha Done For Me, so I heard that side before daydream. IMO a Top double sider.
  13. Not as many as I had hoped as I never got one . Suppose its the price you have to pay, leaving for work before the postman arrives. I potentially lost out on so many things.
  14. I was just paying for something on paypal when I saw your post... Heres something on their site. Posting to a Buyer's Confirmed Address An address is confirmed if the buyer's debit or credit card billing address matches his or her postal address. In some instances, PayPal can also confirm the address in other ways, including examining the buyer's PayPal account history. The Purpose of a Confirmed Address Although the vast majority of unconfirmed addresses are not fraudulent, PayPal offers confirmed addresses as an additional layer of fraud protection. Confirmed addresses help guard against stolen credit cards and identity theft and decrease your chances of receiving a chargeback. However, it is important to note that you can still receive a chargeback for reasons unrelated to fraud. Posting to an Unconfirmed Address Most unconfirmed addresses are not fraudulent and sellers don't usually experience problems sending items to them. You are not required to post goods to a buyer's confirmed address to be eligible for coverage under the Seller Protection Policy. The Seller Protection Policy does, however, require that you send goods to the address listed on the Transaction Details page and this is not always a buyer's confirmed address. When you do send items to an unconfirmed address, PayPal encourages you to be aware of your buyer's status and minimise any possible risk by following our Protection Tips for Sellers.
  15. VG++ or better, please. Cheers, John
  16. I'm quite shocked, they've included Eddie Houston's - I Can't Go Wrong, but left off the faboulous other side.....
  17. Found a red one on ebay at the mo. https://cgi.ebay.com/King-Susan-Building-A-...Q2em118Q2el1247 How pink is your pink one? (ooh err, missus...) I assume that as no-ones shouted boot yet, that they probably weren't booted.
  18. I've seen a few releases on Toy which were differet colours. Kenny Ballad, light and darker blue Susan King - good thing, yellow Susan King - Building a wall, red Royal premiers, red Are they all real, were any booted. If so how can you identify them? Cheers, John
  19. My collecting preference is for first/local issued releases (mainly vinyl) and I love em. I used to be very het up about original format at events, especially when I saw a recognized DJ playing either a boot or reissue knowing I had the original, but now I'm more relaxed when going out. When you're at a do, unless you stand hovering over the decks all night, excluding specific named DJ's, do you truly know what format a tune will be played on? After being on the dance floor, you walk over to the decks and see that no vinyl is spinning, you may feel despondent, but at the time you were dancing did it matter? Aren't we going back to the grey area of DJ vs. Collector? What are people's views on Chuck Jacksons What's With This Loneliness or Carla Thomas I'll Never Stop Loving You. These were unreleased tracks that were originally put out on CD format. The vinyl releases came a time after their original releases, so weren't they re-issued on vinyl to fill a demand, such as the 100 Club Anniversary? So with these singles it's a rarity thing rather than a original release thing, as there were probably more CD's pressed. What you can be sure of is that there are certain DJ's who will always be at the forefront of new/rare stuff that wouldn't be booted or released on a CD anyway. If DJ's are honest and clear about what formats they play then punters can make their own mind up whether to attend that night.
  20. Ah, this was my original thread. Initially I was told about £300, but you should be able to get for half that, maybe less.
  21. The most I've had on one day was 10, but that was including some that had taken a month to arrive. Luckily they were delivered on a Saturday morning, when I was at home or my wife would have gone completely nuts....
  22. I think I saw it at about £930
  23. "Your Love" is great, I love the chanking guitars. IMO "No One" is the better side for me.
  24. I assume its not on Epic? I would have thought that would be about a ton. Goood tune
