  1. I've Been Taken For A Ride" - The Saints - USA original Kent 45. £80. Ex+ condition. Postage £3.60.
  2. You probably already know, the White and Red coloured Way Out label is a better, clearer recording. The copies that are spelled in the title as 'You're" not "Your". The red/pink multi coloured label has a muffly, not as clear recording.
  3. "I've Been Taken For A Ride" - The Saints - USA original Kent 45. £80. Ex+ condition. Postage £3.60. "I'm The One Who Loves You"- Impressions. USA original Demo. Harder to find than the issues. £35. Ex+condition. Postage £2.80. SOLD.
  4. If you ard playing 60's and early 70's records, it's good to have an amp with a mono/stereo button, as a lot of these records sound better with the mono button on. I had to buy a second hand amp to get this feature, as most all new amps can only play stereo.
  5. That's true, but the world has changed and now it's easy to send pictures to anyone in seconds. Now that we can do it, it can't be uninvented!
  6. I bought Gerri Hall "Who Can I Run To" on Hotline for £3 in the Wigan Casino record bar. I didn't know it, but really liked Donna King, so I took a chance. The guy selling said it was good👍. No one I talked to back then seemed to know it!
  7. Wigan Casino Part 2 featuring Richard Searling sounds great to me, it takes me back to those times.. The standard of the records in his set was awesome! A lot of them have become classics, but back then we were hearing them for the first time.
  8. I agree with this post about autographs on rare soul records, if anything, lowering the price of the record. Personally I collect Northern Soul original records in the best condition I can get them. Not with writing on the labels. I don't collect autographs, but the good autographs I do have are in a note book. We used to take this to venues where artists were performing.
  9. Top quality 70's record from the famous Gwen Owens💫
  10. If there were two very rare identical mint records on a table and you could have only one, would you pick the one with writing on the label or the one that is totally clean?
  11. "Hey Babe"- The Joneses- Mercury. Great 70's soulful dancer from Lee Valentine. VMP. Still a low price for an original. Imagine if this was very, very rare and Mr Soul Sam was playing it! They would be all after it!😊
  12. Bobby Hebb on an original Phillips issue in Ex condition. £60 plus tracked 24 hour postage. £3.60. "Where Are You" - Four Sonics - Triple B original in Ex condition. £50 plus postage. "Seek And You'll Find" - Dorothy Prince - M- Pac. Ex condition. £20 plus £2.80 post.
  13. I always think the 1970's UK Grapevine label was the true Casino Classic label! All the releases were based on the Casino play lists.
  14. ZZ Hill "You Just Cheat And Lie" Kent. Great record and usually a reasonable price!
  15. If a record is in near mint condition and then someone/anyone writes on the label, it has now been defaced! That makes it of less value to me. There is plenty of paper for autographs, no need to deface records.
