  1. .. and the "LP" bit (Gail Wynters / 3 Pieces are both 45 as well as LP tracks)
  2. I sold a 7" about 6 months ago for £75 if that helps Mick
  3. Just a note, the record was "reissued" a few years back on an "almost" identical label - If you got it for a cheap price, then it may be one of these. Having said that, I suppose all the recent reissues would still be Mint / Mint- If yours is Vg+ then it's probably a real one. Mick
  4. Pete, That was "My Kind Of Girl' Mick
  5. I was going to ask why you said it was unknown, but I just clicked the link and that answers that !! Just listened and I must admit I'd forgotten how good it was, but to say it was unknown is not really 100% accurate. I'm guessing the seller on this one has made a typo at £1000 - If it was £100 that would be a bit over the top, but possible to achieve if you wait long enough. They do appear on eBay occasionally for between £10 - £30, presumably also Gemm etc. - nothing at the moment, but a stock went through eBay about 2 months ago, and a demo about Nov / Dec, both in the £10 bracket. If I had heard the clip to remind me of it then, I would have had bought one of them. Cheers Mick
  6. Here's 25 or so £10 - £50 records on ebay tonight 8:10 GMT onwards, a few still at 99p or just over ... Check out the link here ... motown-sound Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  7. Chubby & Turnpikes = Tavares Daryl Hall - member of Temptones Volcanos = Moods = Bummy & The Bums = Trammps (From what I can remember, The name Bummy & Bums was never used, just a viable option, before deciding on Trammps instead) Cheers Mick
  8. I think you're right - I disappeared from the NS scene about 1986/87 and the song had been around for a long while before that - Hook line always stuck in my head whenever I took a wrong turn in the car and got a bit lost. It was the only part of the song I remember - not the Artist or the Label. Unless there's a common alternate version of the song by someone else ?? It's bugging me know - I used to get sales tapes of John Manship / Dave Raistrick and a few others - Might have been on one of those tapes ?? Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  9. Where does it tell you the drummers wifes favourite colour !!!! Would YOU buy it without knowing this ??? Mick
  10. Manged to pick of a Demo of this (Thanks Blake) - Still need another copy - not a demo though Thanks Mick
  11. It's always 100 x 1st class UK post - so at the moment it is covered for £41 - It will be more in April
  12. They are different recordings - the first give away is the "Gran Prixs" has a crowd cheering at the intro, whereas "Albert Esberido" just comes in with the music. The fundamental backing is the same, although GP is a softer mix with bass gutar more prominent. It is also a shorter into with the vocal coming straight in. AS version has a long intro before vocals kick in. I've been listening to both for about an hour and i'm still not sure if the lead vocalist is the same - I think it is, but I dont know about the backing singers - Just can't tell. Cheers Mick
  13. Probably as much as Tony Middleton (realistic value, £5 / $10 - not the current stupidity) Unfortunately the Stardust release of KC had a hacked up intro, which is the best part of it Cheers Mick
  14. I'm after a copy of ... Dean Courtney - I'll Always Need You / Tammy - UK 70's RCA NOT a USA orig or reissue, or any other variation it may be on, but the UK RCA 45 release from about '76 Not fussed about writing on label, or the odd minor soundless scuff. £10 / £15 depending on condition. I'm also in need of the recording date and/or Original release date of this in the US Cheers Mick
  15. It's HP-0012 Cheers Mick
  16. The fourth was The Charades - Dreaming Up A World Of Fantasy - Green wax (then black vinyl with a different B side) Checkerboard Squares, also released on Red wax (Yellow and Green variations are around, but I've only ever seen one Red copy) In order of rarity, Red, Green ,Yellow, and finally Black would be the order. The Black vinyls were a good while fter the 3 coloured variations) Cheers Mick
  17. Can anyone help on this ? I thought it was posted a few years ago on one of the Len Barry LP threads, but can't seem find it. Maybe it was Bobby Hebb / Len Barry - Love Love Love recording dates that were posted - can't find those either! Thanks Mick
  18. Mick Holdsworth posted a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Pink ??? - I've never seen one - Just original White and 70's Blue/Orange with palm tree logo.
  19. Does anyone know the recording and release date of Dean Courtney - I'll Always Need You Thanks Mick
  20. Pete When I first had it, I thought it might be, as there was staining a bit like yours on one of the sides - but there was absolutely no hint of pale blue (or pale yellow), just sharp black print on an off white label, again just like yours. Other than that - God knows! Mick
  21. Yes Pete - had it about 4/5 years ago - Carl Willingham had it off me Cheers Mick
  22. Most of the Doni Burdick "Sound Impression/Patterns" tracks made use of Detroit backing tracks - I Miss My Baby / If You Walk .. / I Have Faith / Candle - (I'm sure "Open The Door" is also the backing from one of the many 60's recordings, I just can't place it at the moment). I was always under the sound impression that they were all sing-a-longs some years after the original music was recorded - maybe late Sixties or even 1970/71. As each backing track is the same as the (slightly) earlier original, but a different mix (even different backing singers in the case of "I Have Faith"), then I would have thought that Doni Burdick openly and legally obtained these master backing tapes from GW to re-record himself, or in the case of "I Miss My Baby", produce an instrumental mix and not re-sing it. Cheers Mick
  23. Thanks - The one I'm after is Dana Valery - Having You Around / Zabadack ( 44389 ) Cheers Mick
  24. Think your right Bri, I assume it was actually released, just as her other two Columbia records were. As this also got a 45 release in SA on CBS, it does seem likely that US red copies are about, but I have never seen one. I just need it to fill in a gap. Cheers Mick
  25. Come to think of it ... just checked and found a listing for this as a US release .. 2384 - Chuck Jackson - I Got The Need / Beautiful Woman - 1977 I don't think this exists.
