  1. Been buying for 35 years, once your hooked it's hard to stop, great to see young ones buying original vinyl!
  2. Good one, never seen it before.
  3. I'd recommend Blakka, great boxes and they make them to any size you want.
  4. Getting interesting, I wonder if this is the same one that Pat Brady had, it was towards the end Wigan in the early 80s when I remember it being played.
  5. No not this one but thanks anyway.
  6. Pity, it was a good version maybe whoevers got the acetate could have a few copy's made, I'd buy one, thanks for your help. cheers Mark.
  7. John Manships got one for sale £350!!
  8. I'm glad somebody else remembers it, no idea who the artist is then?
  9. Does anybody recall a different vocal version to the penquin breakdown, other than the L J Reynolds version, I think it started with the words "let me tell you about the woman in my life" and the chorus was something like "got the notion and it feels like love" or something close to that. I haven't heard it for years so any ideas anyone. cheers Mark
  10. What is the difference between the original and the pressing, only I have a copy and presume its a pressing, but you never know I have had it for over thirty years and never seen an original copy. Sorry if this has already been asked. Mark.
  11. I heard Mr Searling put his copy of the Len Barry record on the roof of his car before he got in, then forgot and drove off and it was never to be seen again.
  12. Big Daddy Rodgers, I'm a big Man - gonna take you to the wood shed and drop a couple of planks on you, how romantic !!
  13. It's just supply and demand if you don't think its worth it don't pay it, these prices go up and down, just wait until the price is right. Ive seen the Del Larks re issue / boot on for £100 on a certain web site recently.
  14. Thanks for that information, as I posted earlier their seems to be 2 versions and the version I'm after is sure hard to obtain a copy of, I bet the band would be pleased to know people are still listening to the song after all these years as well as trying to own a copy. Mark
  15. It was defiantly played at the Clifton Hall not sure about Wigan.
  16. You wouldn't believe such a rare record on a small label could have two versions, the strange world of Northern Soul ! I recently bought quiet as it's kept, Lee Andrews on lost nite, which is different to the RCA version, and back in the 80s I bought David and Ruben on Warner supposed to be the same as the Majestics but it has the intro missing, I was a gutted when I first played it, so now I've got both versions, keep hold of your TR5 it's a great record, if you DJ anywhere you'll have to let me know it would be good to hear it again at a soul night. Mark
  17. This is the only one I've ever seen for sale on the www.thegarage.de web site, luckily they had a sound file otherwise it could of been an expensive mistake. cheers, Mark
  18. I've been looking for this record for about thirty years and found a copy for sale at www.thegarage.de if you go on the site you can listen to the record then compare it to the one YouTube, the one on the garage website doesn't seem to have the same vocals or backing vocals and seems slower, the one on you tube is the one that they use to play at Allnighters. Thanks for the reply. Mark.
  19. Barbara McNair - you're gonna love my baby.
  20. You have to hand it to Mr Manship hes a very good business man, he sure knows when to auction a record, I remember he did it with the flirtations nothing but a heartache when it was on a TV advert, cant remember how much it went for though.
  21. There seems to be 2 versions of this, one an inferior garage version, as I don't want to get caught out has anybody anymore information on this record. Cheers, Mark.
  22. We went to the Clifton Hall in Rotheram, from South Manchester it was the best allnighter for me with a great mix of 60s and modern played, happy days.
  23. Velvet Hammer, Happy up to £411 on Manships Auction, just shows what a video on you tube can do, hope Levannas on commission.
  24. Soul source is the simply the place to be for Northern Soul, couldn't do with out it, use it every day, keep up the good work.
  25. Isn't it less than 50 copies in Manships rarest of the rare book
