Just remembered while looking at these photo's, P.J. Proby did a version on his 1967 LP 'Enigma'.

Well according to https://www.45cat.com/record/nc300318us the boot has no record number or writing credits.

Yes, completely different lyrics. I just played mine and it starts off "You walked into my life one day...." and then goes on with different lyrics to the 45.

Kind of reminds me of when I visited my Nan & Grandad in Walthamstow back in 1980, I was into Ska/Reggae as well as Northern back then and got a shock when Grandad shoved about 20 mint UK Reggae 45's into my lap, all on Trojan and their subsidiary labels!!! (Yes I know the thread is 'Imported 45s' but had to mention this to Andy).

A box full of USA 45's in the Council yard (ready for the skip) when I used to work there, all Soul/R&B, all in so-so condition, not a sleeve in sight! Best one was Embers 'Watch Out Girl' on blue/gold MGM issue! In decent nick too!

At our local hospital, they put on a sale of items no longer needed by them i.e old toys, wheelchairs etc. I found a batch of Canadian Soul 45's!! Nothing rare but a couple of Canadian Ric-Tics (Flaming Embers), Tamla Motown (can't remember titles as I sold them on) and The Platters on Columbia (Shing-A-Ling-A-Loo).

Mystery solved, Discogs want £40 for it!! At least now I can buy the Outta Sight LP for £10 with my mind at rest that there is no official 45. Thanks guys

This is the only 'recent' EP I can find, unreleased tracks but no 'If This Is Love...'

Has this been issued anywhere on 45? I know it's on the 'Outta Sight' LP 'Northern & Rare Soul Collector' but wondered if they released it on 7"??

I believe it's the Inspirations' take on Goldmine's Soul Supply LP 'The Northern Soul Story - Volume 4'. Is this the only way it's been re-issued on vinyl? Edit: Actually it's not, it's the Charles Diamond take.
