  1. ORIGINAL...(title on 1 line) Boot... (notice title on 2 lines) CANADIAN ORIGINAL...(title on 2 lines but differs from boot)
  2. From Tim Brown today... The Bank Holiday continues with our latest list of rare soul goodies comprising Northern, Modern and Funk. Our latest auction items are also indicated and will be 'live' on the website this week. Many thanks to those of you who participated in August's auction, with prices achieved of over 4k for The Tomangoe's and nearly 2k for Candi Staton, it might be opportune to remind customers that we charge only 12% to offer auction items for you (and this amount includes VAT). Apologies for the mix-up over Rufus Wood, obviously we did not accept a £500 bid for this 2nd issue. We wonder if the same thing has been offered to the unfortunate individual who 'won' the Rita Lee 2nd issue for £822.00 on Manship's auction! Let us be clear on this one.... Both the Rita Lee and Men From Macon (the instrumental) versions of 'Salvation' are originally on a yellow/greenCharay label, exactly as per the more-often-seen Robert Thomas. Both are very scarce, in fact, I've not seen either for sale since buying them in 1976. The re-issues of all the above were commonly available in shops in 1975 at less than 60 pence!
  3. Booted as 'The Magicians' on a lookalikey label, good quality though.
  4. So is Rita Lee the same person as Cressa Watson? This lady?...(and a friend of Bowie)...
  5. There's a BIN on ebay for £30...ok label may be a bit rough but vinyl looks fine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Festivals-Youve-Got-the-Makings-of-a-Lover-High-Wide-and-Handsome-HEAR-/111747602961?hash=item1a04ad1a11
  6. Well, if I was John Manship I'd dig some copies out and put them on next auction! I'm sure I have one in one of my boxes....
  7. Only format for the Rita Lee I think?
  8. I have that Rita Lee white with purple print, astonished! I'd take half that for mine!
  9. Anyone got a photo of Marv?
  10. Bit here, but not really clear as to whether it's a boot or not? https://www.45cat.com/record/nc717543us
  11. Same as Willie & The Hand Jives which is Soul. Yo Yo's is a nice garage version.
  12. CMHO booted also (C/W Run Baby Run)
  13. I love CMHO, it is their best Northern tune by a mile, a bit less 'poppy' than their others. The stop start fade out gives it a bit of charm too.
  14. I thought the same as you, but then I youtube'd it and found it
  15. their best stomper is top secret!!! gr8 old thumper that one.. This post made me laugh. 'Top Secret' is the title.
  16. I have a copy M-, of course backed with the brilliant 'Lost Love'. It would be £50 all in if you wanted it. Paypal (personal/gift). No worries if not John
  17. 'Constellation' is one of those labels that has various designs for their releases, I've seen at least 3 different designs for Dee Clark 'That's My Girl'!!
  18. Similar thing happened to a mate of mine with all his Trojan records.
  19. Just got a Capitol set off there. Cheapest going but postage is fairly high. Listening to the Alexander Patton track propelled me to buy, fabulous record and worth the money just for that one.
