  1. That looks like the one I have, some came with the talking intro (the one pictured) some without so those missing the talking intro just has the title 'Dead End Street'. Of course everyone knows the intro version is the best by far!
  2. NO blue boot. Boots are only white. Both the blue issues in the above post are originals.
  3. Buy some A4 glossy sticker paper from a stationers, google some 'Northern Soul images' and print your own. I do that for my USA Marvel comics boxes.
  4. Also came out on a dubios looking black label 45 (Soul... something or another?) backed with the Detroit Prophets (Originals) faster version (and some say the best) 'Suspicion'.
  5. That particular 45 by the united Four sounds good, Outta Sight have also released The Dynamics' brilliant 'The Girls Got Soul' for the first time on vinyl. I don't mind buying these kind of releases if they are legit and previously unavailable.
  6. So what if they are previously unissued sides? Like these..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160739706147?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  7. Detroit Sound - we're gonna party (Slow Fizz) ..... complete San Remo Strings 'Festival Time' backing track lifted straight off the record!! An actual Motown record from the vaults?????
  8. The 'Detroit Sound' side could be a previously unissued Motown track?? I mean, I don't know but it uses 'Festival Time' as backing rhythm....completely as it is on the Gordy release by the San Remo Strings. If it's not a Motown production then Berry Gordy could have sued.
  9. I do have an EX copy if that's any good to you? I know you asked for M- but just thought I'd ask...
  10. Marvin & Tammi - This Poor Heart Of Mine, from the 'Easy' album. Remember having this on a tape years ago c/up as 'Situation Desperate'.
  11. A speeded up bootleg credited to Eddie Holland. A dubious blank label A proper/legit one on Motown, late 80's with picture sleeve but a 'mixed' version (yuk!)
  12. I have Major Lance 'Investigate' on a black label Okeh 45...got it many years ago...are they okeh? (pardon the pun).
  13. I bought one and it sounds good but must admit the shady mystery behind the group and lack of details points to a recent recording?? I hope I'm not right.
  14. No release mate, CD only I believe.
  15. Anyone got a scan of the first one? I believe the first take is on one of those 'The Northern Soul Story' L.P's....volume 3 I think.
  16. Mike & The Censations, flip of 'Don't Mess with Me' (Highland) 'There Is Nothing i Can Do About it' ...brilliant beat ballad.!!
  17. Huns Review - Don't Make Me Love You - Sorro....car boot sale in the 1980's ..10p, thought it looked 'Northern' so took a chance (lol!). Sold it to a mate for £60 then decided I needed it again and got a minter for £50. Majestees - Take back All Those Things (Mutt) ...Soul Bowl £30, bought it 'cos it was Detroit...lovely! Delegates Of Soul - I'll Come Running Back (Up Look) ....Soul Bowl £30 'cos Andy Davies recommended it, I took it home, played it and was disappointed!!! I didn't really like it. Traded it for £60 of other tunes....realise now I made a mistake and I love it...doh!
  18. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KENNY-CARTER-WHATS-YOUR-FINGER-/180793748943?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2a1825adcf If Stardust is legit then this Kenny Carter 'whats that on your finger' must be worth having as there's no other vinyl release?
  19. It's easily obtainable if you don't mind L.Ps. The L.P used to be everywhere...car boots etc and is on a budget label 'Hallmark' I think. It's called 'Midnight Blues' and has a couple of really nice R&B/Soul tunes as well as the title track..
  20. Hopefully, if Jonathan's local paper has got hold of the story some residents of his town/city may start a collection for him so he can purchase some of the damaged records. I'd definitely try that route Matt.
  21. That is some bad luck! I hope he has a swift recovery.I don't have any of those records but good luck in your search.
  22. They are a blue-eyed group aren't they, I always presumed they were??
  23. Looks good, didn't realise Jimmy McFarland was a blue-eyed soulster.
