  1. I was thinking the same a few weeks ago. According to the website it's still in production and the title is now SoulBoy. https://www.ipsofactofilms.com/films/soulboy.html
  2. Plus the alt version of I'm your pimp by the Skull Caps - bargain.
  3. Charlie Gracie?
  4. Just got in and that made me choke on my toast. Nice one Mark
  5. Agree with that. But purely in the spirit of this thread we could be bastions of amrican rare soul or boars for short.
  6. I'd be worrying about the lack of Southern Comfort
  7. Hi Harry, In no order of preference:- Lifeline, Rugby (as you know), Loughborough. 3 that spring to mind immediately.

  9. I think collectively it's the recession and with unemployment people are trying to raise cash by selling their assets. Last few days the headlines were people paying off debts in record levels. Plus as mentioned some people are no longer bothered having the vinyl. Buyers market if you have the readies.

I knew she had been singing for 60 odd years but didn't realize the depth of her output> Amazing voice best summed up from this newspaper quote. "Her delivery," a reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "is soulful enough to surely cause some non believers to want to get right with God." RIP
  11. Karl H, Keith Money, Butch and Mick H are always consistent and never fail to deliver.

  15. Interesting thread which I've enjoyed reading apart from when it degenerated into a slanging match. Personally think a lot of the concerns are about the lack of transparency on this type of sale. Bid on Ebay or John's site you know exactly where you are. You either win or lose but you know the final price it went for and what you were prepared to pay. A brokering service can potentially be abused. At the end of the day if the buyer and seller are happy then there should be no cause for complaints. And for the record, (no pun intended) I agree with Ken. This should have been in sales. Bottom line it was a sales pitch by Ian on behalf of Tim, which then developed into something else.
  16. Got to be honest I'm a bit confused now. When I read the first post I got the impression (rightly or wrongly) that the 2 scene reference was the difference between the upfront nighter versus the soul night event. Then it became oldies and newies, with all the other sub divisions and categories that encompasses. Now it's about attitude. So presumably there is a right and wrong attitude. Just interested in what the right attitude is.
  17. Thanks Ady. I was hoping it would be Jackie for the 30th Anniversary. See you Sat. Best Tabs

  20. Hi Matt, Hope you and the family are all OK. See you in a few weeks The 1973 version was also released on UK Epic as That Lady. The reason I didn't mention it was because I assumed everyone would know that, and went for the earlier version. Cheers Tabs
  21. This one was what I thought it was. I'm amazed it was on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04DrhTNUN-4
  22. I'm guessing you mean the original 1964 version. United Artists release but no idea on price. Seem to think it came out on a LP as well. Someone will confirm that I'm sure.
