Mm, getting a little complicated for me. It's far simpler in my very simple mind - bootlegs, counterfeits, reproductions are all illegal, unlicensed fake copies of (mostly) rare records. In the main they are produced to deceive people - and as I've said already, and seemingly you disagree Maslar, by dishonest people who are intent on theft. Quite simple really. You can add into the mix the "vanity project" swerve - but any records produced as a result of such a project will always bleed into the market place - and as a consequence people will be ripped off.
Pookie Hudson is a super soul record - I hope you manage to find one and treat yourself. Also, I've always thought that Pookie Hudson is one hell of a cool name - I love it, almost as much as I love the record. Peter
Some nice early modern played in the main room too - one of those venues where I manically ran from room to room thinking I was missing out on something! LOL

Just a random post this. Anyway, back in the early 80's we used to knock around with the Lincoln crew - great people and great times. One of them had the nickname Porto - I did know his proper name and I actually knew him quite well, he moved to Mablethorpe for a bit where I used to live. But, alas, my memory deceives me now - I can't remember too much. As is often the case something on telly just reminded me of him - as I say really random. Anyone know Porto?

Well this one is going to run and run isn't. I don't believe for one minute that someone, at some point, isn't going to be ripped off with one of these "lovely looking" counterfeits. They will definitely bleed into the market place.
