  1. Pete, someone has, it seems, asked a well known Dj to play a set of which format doesn't matter, I doubt I will ever be offered the same deal (not that I would necessarily want it) and that's it, sometimes they want the music, other times they just want the geezer that's playing it, not saying that's right but it's how it is,
  2. Steve, am I missing something? Brid is happening now I thought, and it's Sunday lunch time, must be some kinda mistake?
  3. If you read Neils post properly, you will see he played em at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, so where does 4 o'clock in the morning fit in?
  4. Well there you have it, why would anyone turn up at a club play a set of tunes to suit that night, probably go down really well, then take the time to share what they played on a message board knowing full well, whatever is on the list, someone will think the above, or worse still post it? I will carry on playing what I think will work that venue without giving a flying fukc what folk who aren't even there think, and as for willy waving let's not even go there,
  5. Bidding early is just bringing interest to the record, put it on your watch list and ebay will remind you when its coming to the end of the auction, nothing worse than watching a record and 2 bidders (or more) are making multiple bids, none of which have any chance of winning, with days to go, thus bringing attention to it from casual browsers, Put your max bid in a sniper, walk away from it and may the highest bid win, Different outlook altogether for sellers of course
  6. Pete, though I live near Eccles my surname is surprisingly uncommon, but because of the town people are very familiar with the name, I was chatting to a chap at a doo in Peterborough last year and when I told him my surname he thought it was hilarious, in a good way, My eldest daughter works as a liaison officer in a school in Salford and it's all she can do to explain to some of the pupils that 'Miss Eccles' doesn't mean she is one step nearer the 'Miss England' title
  7. If I had a pound ........oh never mind Check the avatar Pete, after decades of cake jibes a certain Theresa Price called me Cakeboy and it's kinda stuck
  8. When I joined I was relatively new to the internet and for some reason felt a bit uneasy using my real name, don't know why, anyway fast forward a few years and I started to think maybe my real name would be better, but thought it might be confusing, Compromise - I put my real name as my signature
  9. Yep I use esnipe, I don't know if it's the same with other snipes but you can also put a 'snipe it' button on every ebay page you look at, so you can place a snipe without leaving the page, no need for copying auction numbers and opening new tabs, haven't used any others so this could just be the norm,
  10. Bit drastic Mick, let's hope he's just not well or on holiday
  11. I'm almost sure Doris Troy was 1995, the headline act for 96 was Maxine Brown,..................or was she 97?
  12. This wasn't bad Winnie, if you could get on it

In January of that year 50p was still 10 bob and still is to some of us
  18. There you go again Kev, the 'suspended in mid air' quote was taken directly from Godz's comment, wayward credit again
  19. But we haven't even scratched the surface yet,
  20. Yea it's not hard (yet)
  21. Don't go Godz, get a grip
  22. No you just sling them int bin
  23. Very good Godz, but I'm claiming the patent for the 'suspended in mid air' theory, you have just elaborated on that idea, so no, hardly genius mate
  24. Agreed, being up to speed on the latest C.O.S.H.H. regs is strongly advised
