  1. One went through e-bay in June this year for $631, about £315. A month later a "Repro Reissue Belgium" copy was sold for $159, about £80
  2. I can remember that night, vividly. Those involved were not Northern fans (they came up to the Highland Room from the main room downstairs) but what a ruck! When the lights went on the bouncers carted everybody off downstairs and it still continued down into the main entrance and out onto the streets. There must have been up to 50 lads involved. At one point a coach pulled up outside the front doors and another 20 or so lads piled in. At one point 3 or 4 lads were giving a serious kicking to some unfortunate fellow, only to stop when one of the attackers said, and I quote - "Leave him, he's one of ours" at which point they dragged him of to the side and then waded back in!
  3. Correct re the flip. Issue is Moneytown 1209. JM's 3rd (4th is not to hand) as it at £350

All per JM's 4th edition. No prices on UK or non US stuff.
  6. Cheap one, Tim Brown has it for sale at £8.
  7. About time, too Bob! I was thinking that I'd have to do without my weekly fix. I'll be tuning in tonight and will be especially interested in the "transitional" stuff.
  8. In the past I think there was a search facility on the Forum Clips page, which seems to have disappeared. How do you get to earlier posted clips without going back through each page? Ta much.

£250? GWATT is a top tune!

    JM's 4th has at at a ton. Two through e-bay in 2005 reached £35/£45.
  11. A,ah - I recognise that list. It's part of the playlist of the eagerly awaited return of the Soul Shack, at least it ought to be! How could anyone believe that the scene is not in rude health, if you had to listen to this lot at a venue? More power to you, Mark - your enthusiasm for the music oozes out of this post

Cheers Tone, I didn't know that the Soul Children had reformed, so I suppose its possible, then You are so right about Jerry Butler too. One artist that I would dearly have loved to have seen perform is Walter Jackson - one of the great voices of all time, in my opinion.

Gotta be a rare one, hardly ever see it for sale. £1k plus I would imagine.
  18. Is the flip "There was a time"? If so about £20.
  19. Agreed, needs a few listens and gets up a head of steam towards the end. R &T, however, unsurpassable.
  20. Recorded 28 December 1966 but not released. Appears on "A Cellarful of Motown Vol.2" CD. Carolyn Crawford's version recorded 21 September 1964 issued on Motown 1070 as the flip to "When someone's good to you"
  21. A ton per JM's latest. E-bay lists one at $261 this year.
  22. Fascinating stuff as always, Bob. Great group harmony in evidence, Drapers, Paramounts, Tempos - my kind of stuff Not got to the Edettes yet, but what can you tell us about them?
  23. Got it, thanks, Malc.
  24. What's the site Malc?
  25. Magic days, indeed. I wasn't there at the end - Wigan had lost it's sparkle for me about 4 years earlier, but it's still fascinating to hear the "final" night. Atmosphere comes through superbly and is a great reminder of how good Wigan was at it's best.
